Id like that.
It wasnt like that with all the drama a year ago. Peaceful.
Seems like a recent thing on the net ...heckling ....
Wonder if the average age/ muturity level and reading ability has decreased here on HB - SMBDragon

No, i think the disappearance and/or regulation of heckling, debate, productive, critical conversation has been absent the last year or so and posters have largely forgotten how to do so.
Now its all 'circle jerks' and 'gangbangs'. |

Seems like a safe, prototypical Benning pick
Yet another two-way guy though his skating leaves something to be desired from my POV...
Personally, if we end up at 4 with the plan being to take a forward, i pray its Tkachuk as opposed to Nylander and PLD.
That Chychrun though - Whiskey-Tango
He's a terrific offensive player too, reminds me of Carter.

You are critical of JB's drafting ? - CanuckDon
lol no not at all.
Merely stating that Dubois appears to be a Benning type pick.
Regardless of who he drafts at (in this case) 4th overall, it will be a great player.
I just hope that this time around we err on the side of elite offensive talent as opposed to pure physicality, which I (yes me, myself) believe that Tkachuk has more of....with a little snarl and nastiness in him to boot. |

chychrun 9(sp) is a true pro keeper maybe not a franchise 1 or 2 but for sure a 3-4 building block , he tests better then the rest of his class and thats a testement to his attitude |

i am not all in on puularrrvii at this point so if we get 3#rd pick i have no problem in taking a chance on Dubois as he is essentially the Canadian Laine |

I see what you are getting at but Benning can't afford to misfire with the 4th pick. He has to pick a surefire top 6. No problem w Tkachuk but if you truly wanted "elite offense" then Nylander is the pick |

Outside of the top two forwards (i.e Matthews and Laine) it's pretty open in my view. I think quite a few teams in the top 8 or so will go for need, merely picking the winger that best suits their current wants/desires. |

but all things being equal , i would be cautious of putting alot of stock in a QMJHL power-forward. Tkachuck is the safer bet imo |

Keller too outside of the top 3 IMO as far as elite offense but too risky that early.

I suppose that's pretty much my point as it relates to this years forward crop.
Outside the top 2/3, they are all relatively equal wingers with some bringing different attributes to the table.
You want speed or two-way awareness, finishing ability or play-making etc etc.
Very subjective top 7-8ish class. |

McLeod is a good one too
like a Monahan pick and probably better than McCann right now |
