No. Primarily because I am afraid her soul would come back and haunt me (just saying the words "can you") for the rest of my life.

"Can you come here"
"Can you run to the store"
"Can you grab my phone charger"
"Can you-----CAN YOU JUST LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!

Over the next calendar year, I wonder if Hexy will sign Ghost to some type of 2 year prove it deal or go with the Josi 6 year term around $4 million/yr?
- ravishingone

I think we will have a better idea halfway through next season when we see if Ghost is able to adjust to the extra attention teams started paying him towards the last 20 games or so.

Go figure people spazzing out over a team that realistically didnt have a chance against the best team in the league and the fact they even made the playoffs this season was a bonus.

Coots going down 1 game sucks and its obvious that the burn off the last 6-8 weeks took its toll on a lot of players. Giroux, Ghost, Simmonds, Schenn all look like shells of what they were.

Mason should get his fair share of the blame for 2 bad goals the past two games but take those away and they still lose.

If this occurs next year Ill be really annoyed but even having playoff hockey this season for me was a bonus.

You'd be in the minority here. Most people are patient and courteous to cyclist. I've been beeped at maybe three times in a year and a half of riding.

I rode in NYC for two years, and was beeped at multiple times every single day.

I'll guess that the population number difference accounts for that. Perhaps you are a polite rider and aware of the rules of the road. In my experience, however, most are not.

Exactly. People are pissed and disgruntled. I read a post today saying they would have rather them just not make the playoffs...

Come on! Really? This team gave us the best hockey I have seen in some time. That stretch drive was sensational.

They have been extremely competitive 5v5 vs the top team in the league. Were getting smoked on special teams. Its disappointing to see them go out this way, but thats being near sighted.

Look at what they accomplished on the year. Over coming injuries to top players.. learning a new coach, having young guys take the next step (or first steps)... This team has the blue print down. Now they need to just working it in.

I am a happy Flyers fan.

Richards and carter were pretty much traded so Giroux could be the guy. Not sure what different leadership you mean.

I'd go with a Josi type deal if they can.

Morgan Reilly is probably the comparable right now

- J35Bacher

In the cap era, it certainly seems to be the way to go. I'm not sure Ghost will ever develop into that 25 minute dman like a Duncan Keith. Not a knock against him, but a #1 PP QB who plays second pair minutes at even strength, getting him for $4.5 million/yr or less for 5 years or more is very appealing. They won't find a better deal in the free agent market over the next couple of seasons, that is for sure.

k didnt know we were fast forwarding to the draft...thats fine though. was that team not the one that won a playoff series you spoke of?
- YuenglingJagr

Our signals ate seriously crossed... Homer went out and got on this "youth movement" thing back in 2011... We brought in a ton pf young players many of which are on the team. Hell the consensus on this very thread was "don't get your hopes up just let the kids play blah blah blah"... Well the kids have been playing and in 4 years have only managed to win a single playoff series missing the playoffs twice. The one series they did win, against Pittsburgh exhibited some of the worst goaltending ever. Now unlike flyers teams of the past who have been hindered by medipcre goaltending this one, with exception of the last two games has had good goaltending. At what point do you look amd say geez two of pur guys getting 8 mill a year each and they can't even get a pp goal? Hurt and tiredare excuses for clubs that accept losing. These guys aren't worth what they're getting paid, they don't get the job done and are not worthy to be faces of a franchise, they, like their predecessors are guys that need to play behind real superstars.

It's a good, reasonable attitude to have, but honestly I'm pretty pissed that Bellemare opened the door to all that nonsense last night. He has to be smarter and more in control than that. And I might be the biggest PEB fan on here.

It didn't change the outcome of the game, but I could have dealt with a 3-1 loss. Mason and the rest of the PK unit weren't great, but they didn't deserve to spend the last 10 minutes of the game getting blasted.

I think Provorov will be more our Duncan Keith. Gostisbehere is probably a 2nd or 3rd pair dman. PP specialist. 3v3 specialist.

I said this earlier... Still dont think it was intentional.

His intent to me was probably to ride him out into the boards... but when VDV came in from the side Orlov hit the brakes and started to turn away from that pressure and Bellemare didnt react qucikly enough. Its a bad play either way, but not one of malice. PEB truly felt bad for Orlov.

The interaction between PEB and the Caps bench was something I'd like to hear. It seemed like he was talking to a bunch of them as he went to the box.

I think if Ghost can be paired with a brainiac on ice like Provorov, the sky is the limit. I used to think Ghost would be a Krug-like 4/5, and would've been happy at that. But his surprising defensive play, his uncanny reads, and off the chart instincts -- not to mention his offense -- lead me to think he will be a whole lot more. If Provorov is the 1a, I think it is Ghost who could end up 1b/2. He isn't just an offensive dynamo...the kid processes the game about as quickly as I've ever seen.

Here let me get my kneeling pad so my points stop going over your head, the point is it's been Giroux's team since carter and richards left town, almost 5 years ago which incase you missed it, is the time frame this teamis supposed to be good again but we were told this already 5 years ago.

You really believe all of that too

The Flyers went into rebuilding mode, which was messed with even more when Pronger went down. Since then they have really stuck to the patience model. CERTAIN people here wanted Couts and Schenn traded. Yea, look at how dumb that would be now.

Certain people want to go out and sign big free agents. Why?

We are finally on the right track. Developing from goalie out, and now people are pissed because we have on won ONE series in 4 years? Sometimes, you gotta deal with the bad to get the good.

I'll always wonder if Emery doesn't go down with the bad hip if at least there would have been a game 7 against the Hawks.

I think it's really a lack of due diligence and inability to gauge talent objectively. They, the flyers front office like the fans over value their players.

Personally I am going to withhold judgement on that until I see how he adjusts next season to the extra attention he will be receiving, like he did the latter part of this season.

I would be completely happy with him as the second pair anchor and PP go to guy.

I believe facts yes. That being said, signing free agents or drafting i just want them to get the right players.
