Everything about that game was a disgrace. The fans (not all of them, but the ones who threw the wristbands/did nothing to stop them) were a disgrace. the team was a disgrace. There was not one good thing to say about last night.

Edit: If anyone of this site threw a wristband, please resign as a fan.

Yeah that would be great for the league. Lose a superstar player to a lower league.

So a 26 year old Stamkos is past his prime?
- J35Bacher

Injuries definitely expedited the process and I wouldn't want anything to do with him for the money that he expects.

lol
I don't mind him. But if I never hear a word about Drouin again I'll be happy.

- Scoob

I guess at least Stamkos will sign with a team for 8 years and we'll never hear about his free agency again.

Then it will be "WE'RE GETTING TAVERNS!!!"

Yep. Losing is one thing, the display last night from the fans (probably a few hundred) and the team really embarrassed Ed Snider's family. I felt bad they had to sit there and watch that poopshow.

I think I read that each bracelet was keyed to a specific seat. I recommend identifying all the bracelets collected from the ice and revoking the season tickets for those folks.

well first, Why the F was a woman sitting there with an infant in a stadium in that situation. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Also, the Toronto media was all over the Jays fans for that.

It was also pretty much a one-off and it was a very unusual set of circumstances. An umpire calls a play dead. THEN, they decide the play should not have been called dead, and allow a run to count, late in the game, that looked like it might end the Jays season. (That half hour of that game was one of the most bizarre things I have ever seen in sports )

Pretty sure that if the equivalent thing happened in Philadelphia, late in an elimination game, where a play was called dead, then reversed, and the other team awarded points post facto... you would have seen a similar reaction

I absolutely enjoy a hypocrisy of this post. Please ride your high horse back to Toronto

Yeah.

A year after breaking his tibia he scored 43 goals.

36 this year before blood clots.

While I like the intent, what do you do about the STHs who sold their tickets on Stubhub/Craigslist/co-worker/etc?

Well that didn't go as I would have hoped considering ill be driving in for Game 4 tomorrow... Guess they wont be handing out any free souvenirs now
I was at the Buffalo game in 2006 when they got destroyed, but last night sitting on my couch I was more embarrassed to be a fan on the same side as those who disrespected Mr. Snider like that. Any other game of the year wouldn't have been half as big of a deal. We are LUCKY this team even made it to playoffs in general so how can we get mad they aren't holding up against the Presidents trophy winner? I will be going to cheer my team tomorrow either way

Program the ticket scanners at entry points for game 4 and don't allow them in. Have Lou Nolan announce that each empty seat represents a 'tosser' (British slang optional).

The Flyers motto is, and has always been, if you can't beat them on the ice, resort to the goon tactics. Last night was no different, can't lose graciously. you were outplayed and you're overmatched. The fans joined the fray which was even more ridiculous. Gee, I wonder why everyone thinks the Flyer fans are the worst. Hey Ek, still got "Flyers in 7"

And regarding the debacle with the thrown bracelets... maybe the worst part of it is that you only get to do an "Ed Snider tribute night" once... and 10-20 years from now, people won't talk about how the Flyers got blown out in the game... or how great the pre-game ceremony was... but instead how a bunch of fans (albeit a small minority) descended so low. Just awful.

Again, what do you do to the guy who wasn't there last night and bought the Game 4 ticket for $250?
