Yep they are the worst.
Honestly, I have no desire ever to visit that city, it must be such a sh1t hole. - Scooby_Doo
I think you all need to re-evaluate your definition of worst.
Throwing snowballs at Santa is funny. Throwing commemorative bracelets on the ice is silly but understandable considering their frustration level. Better than a pocket full of change or a bottle of bud.
Those objects pale in comparison to objects like golf balls, darts, hard plastic stadium seats, flares, etc.
If anything, Philly fans need to up their game if they want to be considered worst in pro sports. Pussies compared to soccer fans.
I’ll never forget when that cup of orange pop almost hit Bettman when he came out to present the cup to Boston. If that drink would have hit Bettman… now that would have been a story. |

If the refs make horrible call after horrible call, what else do you want the fans to do, boo?
Not saying i have ever thrown something on the ice, but in the playoffs when emotions are high, poop hits the fan and people show their frustration. Generally it comes from a lower intelligent level fan, which just so happens to be every fan at a flyers game. - Scooby_Doo
This is very true, and I get the emotion behind it, just nothing good comes from it. Whether you boo or throw something, it wont change anything and run the risk of injuring innocent bystanders as opposed to the ones people are angry at.
And to go along with the low intelligence, a lot of the crap throw hits the netting or falls short. I am thinking both of the hockey arena and the Blue Jay playoff game last spring
EDIT: I know this circumstance wasnt as drastic as some, I was just making a general point. Either way, just saw this on TSN:
Flyers public address announcer Lou Nolan demanded fans "show some class" and warned the Flyers would be hit with a penalty if they kept littering the ice with bracelets and other garbage.
Sure enough, the wristbands kept coming, and the Flyers were whistled for a bench minor for delay of game. Nolan said, "way to go," and the fans cheered as if they were proud of the penalty.

Probably, but I thought that banana thrown at Simmons during an exhibition game in Ontario was pretty bad. Not dangerous, but in very poor taste and much more douchy than throwing commemorative bracelets. |

Very true.
But I still think pelting Santa with snowballs is funny. The (frank)er didn't give me that bike with the mock gas tank on it when I was eight. He deserves all he gets. |

Lots of racists running around outside of the GTA, especially in the smaller outlying communities... you'll find em' inside it too, just not as open about it. |
