Ed Snider (may he rest in peace) presided over some of the worst goon squads in the history of the game.

Really sad to see Orpik that out of it. Hoping it's nothing long term and he will be back at some point.

Hit was at worst a 2 minute charge though. That Bellemare BS on the other hand was absolute suspendable garbage...as was Gudas jumping well know tough guy Burakovsky...kid was getting punched while he still had his stick in his hands. And Orlov must have some neck/shoulder muscles...no idea how he stays in the game after that.

First off classy move by the Pen's organization to offer a moment of silence for Ed Snider.

Secondly, not so classy move by a few of your fans to shout and jeer during said moment of silence. Also, good job Pens fans jeering and booing Lunqvist when he was heading back to his net after getting his eyeball jabbed with a stick. Yeah, I remember my first Iron City beer too...

Just saw a video from the moment of silence for Snider in Philly tonight and someone with an impressively loud voice screamed "F' the Pens" followed by much cheering Recount please.

Man reading these comments this morning I went to youtube to see Ryan White destroy Orpik. Listen hockey fans it is possible for players to get hurt during routine hard clean checks. There wasnt a single thing wrong with that hit. Its like sitting in consol, or a bar in somerset PA watching a pens game and everytime the other team makes a good defensive play it should be a penalty. Reason why i never go to either to watch a pens game.

Didn't have a big problem with the hit on orpik not sure if it's true but Pierre said white skated by the bench and said got him. That's pretty bad when a guy is being helped off the ice with no clue where he is. I'm sure orpik delivered some hits during the games but that's sad. The one on orlov was just bad and deserves a suspension. And philly fans are what they are at least they own it and don't really care what anyone thinks. Hopefully philly wins the next game and it's a blood bath

If you actually read them all you'd see pretty much everyone agrees with you. I saw the hit as it happened and only once when I first said something. After another view it looked totally fine.

Most fan bases call bloody murder when something happens to a player on their own team. Get over yourself.

Unfortunate he got hurt but the hit on Orpik was pretty much clean. Orpik has thrown much worse hits in his career. That hit on Orlov was brutal but partially due to him losing his balance and going down before contact. I thought Lovejoy's hit on Stepan just as bad.
