So today the pairings are going to in all likelihood be:
Daley-Letang
Dumoulin-Lovejoy
Cole-Schultz
If the top two pairings struggle again and Cole Schultz have a strong game I'd do something like this even if it seems radical:
Dumoulin-Letang
Cole-Schultz
Pouliot-Daley
In this configuration I'd give Daley-Letang a few shifts as well. This keeps Dumo's minutes down a bit, shelters Pouliot, and ups Daley's minutes a bit. What this configuration does is that it injects another defenseman than augments our speed in Pouliot and has everyone playing their preferred sides. - Victoro311
I might be on my own on this but I thought Daley had a ton of trouble with rags size on Saturday. Not sure I want him seeing more minutes

No Fleury at morning skate. It is an optional. Sully pulling another fake and have Fleury sit out morning skate and start him tonite? He likes to mind(frank). Just trying to be optimistic, don't really know what to think. - tpcg402
A lot of the media is saying MAF doesn't seem like the same guy. Kind of down. Just a different person during interviews. I don't think we'll be seeing MAF for quite some time. |

Djan said in his Tuesday's takes that if MAF is ready to play hockey, then he's doing a great job of hiding it. But Djan is a pretty hard line sit fleury until he's 510% guy so take that for what it's worth. - Victoro311
Yeah, I didn't really believe what I typed about the headgame stuff. Pun not intended. Just hoping Fleury is ready, although it sounds like he isn't. Zatkoff has been fine, but his ceiling isn't very high and is tough to see him holding up in a 7 game series

Daley had hands down the worst game he's had in a Pittsburgh sweater on Saturday. He was also one of our best guys down the stretch. So I'm not going to write him off after one game. And in my configuration he'd be babysitting Pouliot. So by taking shifts with Letang, it would be in an attempt to up his minutes to around his usual, not upping them to new heights. |

Fleury didn't sound to good in his interview yesterday. I think we see Murray before fleury. So let's say Murray comes back and we have an incredible run is that it for fleury here? - dbell646
I think we see Murray before MAF too. Anything is possible with this draft coming after next year, but I think MAF is still a Penguin next year. |

I'd go with these d pairs if Dumo can regain his regular season form, hell I would anyways because whomever is Letangs partner is he won't match him in TOI and be over extended. Letangs partner will always be somewhat fluid with the amount of TOI he racks up.

I still maintain we win that game if Lundqvist doesn't get hurt. 0-0 before the stick hits him. |

Mines 26 this year coincidence. 1 hour in a plane gets us down there. Now if she wants to go back to Europe.........thankfully not! It's funny, one of her uni degrees is English teaching.
Your daughter sounds like a smart individual, if she can help any of the parents or children that have autism in their lives she's doing a great job. - Aussiepenguin
Thanks, I am a very proud Dad. She is actually speaking / teaching at the National Autism conference in Chi Town in front of thousands. She loves the kids. Cheers |

Evgeni Malkin says that he's feeling better and is confident he can take faceoffs. Wasn't happy with how he played and is looking to come out strong tonight. Looking forward to playing center all game. |

Doubt in Zatkoff has always been there. Game 1 was an anamoly not the norm for that guy. That's not to say we can't win with him, it just means our offense needs to be much more productive because it will turn into a shootout style game. |

Plus Pittsburgh's best defenseman is still out of the lineup.
This, of course, being Dan Girardi. |
