So would leave MacDonald unprotected? - J35Bacher
Word on the street is that the Flyers have to protect him. |

Speaking of Radko, he needs to be let off his leash a little.
Guy has the potential to play a punishing game. Let him play. - flyer_nutter
They did, and he laid a huge hit last game.
It ended up being a 3-on-2 against. |

I feel Manning has been actually one of our better defenders. So we don't want to change Mason because he is playing well but change one of the defenders that is.
I think Streit has been subpar and so has MacDonald.
Biggest problem is our leaders aren't doing enough. Best forward so far has been schenn and the 4th line - J35Bacher
That leaders thing annoys me.
Its also why Giroux has no chance on the PP. If you only have to cover 1 damn guy on the team, it makes things pretty easy. |

Better at what? Taking penalties that lead to PP goals? Being an anchor on the 1st line?
Overplaying an AHL dman against the best team in the league is working out exactly how you would expect. Terribly. |

Off-topic, did anyone watch the Islanders/Panthers game last night? If so, was that the first-ever NHL playoff game in Brooklyn? I'm not sure if the announcers ever mentioned it. |

It was and the feed I had mentioned it I think, or it could have been mentioned on the NHL video highlight thing. |

One was flukey and they other was a battle in front. Yes they scored on the penalties he took.
They could have easly scored on the 4 minutes gagner took. The 2 minutes Streit took. The 2 minutes white took.
Penalties happen. They just so happened to score on his two.
He has been one of the better defenders. |

I was being sarcastic. They must have mentioned it at least 8-10 times, including "And the first ever playoff game in Brooklyn goes to overtime."
I wasn't aware that moving from Long Island to another part of Long Island was such a big deal. |

They will win it tonight for Mr Snider.
I am in town and turned down a ticket because the last win I witnessed in person was
the last regular season game in 2010.
Something like 0-8 since then. So Im not going. |

The Brooklyn Americans never played in Brooklyn.
They did, however, establish a 50+ year curse on that other team in MSG. |

1) while i don't think there's a goalie problem, i do feel there is a population that blindly defends mason simply to avoid goalie controversy. i think he has been incredible but i don't think there is anything wrong with saying he wasn't great for a stretch etc.

That's nuts. Take the damn ticket. What? You're never going to another game ever because they might lose because your 175 lb body in the stands is shifting all the friggin' karma.
C'mon man. You're above this thinking. |

It's way more suburban that Nassau, but it's still (geographically) on Long Island. |

I think I read something though that they plan to get out of Brooklyn if they get new arena. Heard players don't like the Barclays Arena |

3) i'm also not in the least worried about jake's performance/contract ratio.
4) i like medvedev and would like to see him more. he's not a veteran for nothing. of course it will take some time for him to get used to the NHL game but i would have given him the full year to get better. sitting him this much as soon as he gets of the boat isn't doing him any favors at age 33. i was hoping he could be a Fetisov in the rough.
