Their numbers over the last few years don't agree.

I'm not knocking Neuvirth, because I think he's a good goalie, but Mason has been a very good to outstanding goalie for 3 years or so-pretty much since he arrived in Philly.

Win or lose this team has come a long way. Love the direction Hexy has us headed, Hak has done wonders with the lineup he has. We just played the best team in the NHL even up in two games which could of gone either way. Was there some mistakes or quetionable calls , yes for sure but that's hockey. Mason let a tough one in , Manning deflecting one out, and a sort call for holding the stick in a battle out front.Ghost in lulaland skating to bench after he saw Jake fall and not help out.but other than a poweplay goal when we need one were right in there with the best team in the league, and you can't question our desire. So quit whining about Mason being in net,Read for whoever , Medvdev in for Manning who has played well or Hak would have Medvedev in. Let's get one tonight for Snider.

I would love to sign him.

I think he could join the 3rd line next season for the Flyers. His speed and skills would be great and an upgrade over Read.

I just wanted them to win a game in all honesty along with not embarrassing themselves. I thought the second and third period of the first game was pretty embarrassing but they came back in game two and really pressed. Couldn't score but they played tough the whole game. Several gaffes get corrected and it's 1-0 late into the third but it wasn't.

They haven't gotten blown out yet so making the playoffs seems like it could be a benefit.

Let's move up in the draft and find ourselves a sniper in the first.

I'm not willing to commit to him for 7 years given the fact that he can't seem to stay on the ice now. What's that 12 mil a yr going to look like sitting in the press box in 2020-2023.

he was 6-17-3....not sure how much he was hurting the tank. not sure any goalie was possible to hurt that tank job

There is no guarantee that once we have players like Provorov or Koneny or Sanheim that we will be there again.

I understand this team is less talented. But I can't just be happy being here if they get swept. The direction looks nice but it doesn't promise anything.

I disagree. Mason lets in one awful goal in a series where otherwise he has been their best player and lets sit him. sorry he deserves the opportunity to play tonight.

As far as 'deserves' goes, I was talking more about their play during the regular season and getting the Flyers into the playoffs in the first place. Both players, based upon their contributions to the team and getting them into the post-season, deserve to play, but Neuvirth got hurt toward the end. Really kinda sealed the deal.

I was assured that Ivan Provorov will be the 2nd best defenseman in Flyers history, maybe the best. That alone should be enough to get us into the playoffs 3 years out of 5.
