I actually like Edzo, Jonesy, and JR, but those three do not like the Pens..

JR likes the sound of his own voice, and I do like Jonesy and Edzo. Can't stand Pierre or Doc. I hope Milbury suffocates himself.

I would take Doc back calling the Devils game in a heartbeat over Steve Cangelosi.

The Caps are looking amazing in their series. Even when Holtby is beat he has a force field behind him.

Flyers are in over their heads. I see them skating and bouncing around like pinballs, but nothing seems to happen. They'll be lucky to win a game. I was hoping they'd at least hit Washington and leave some bruises but it seems they're only good at GETTING hit. Man, Orpik has dished out some pain.

I picked Caps in 6 on my bracket. I was wrong, this one has sweep written all over it.

Yeah, I've heard them, homers no doubt. But Cangelosis voice kills young children and he tries so hard to be Doc.

Even in his playing days Daneyko was the best interview in hockey. I remember the first time I saw him interviewed in between periods of a Devils/Leafs game. I expected him to give the usual cro-magnon cliche laden tripe most athletes regurgitate but instead this legit NHL tough guy with a head (and forehead) like two cinder locks gave one of the most intelligent in game analysis I'd ever heard. He did it with class as well.

Rangers are a good team and played a much better game. Maatta probably deserves a seat and Daley looked bad as well. Hats off to the rangers

They need to start focusing on going north and south and utilizing soft dumps behind the D again. Way too many offsides yesterday, and yes, Malkin was a significant culprit in this issue. He also clearly is not yet full healthy as he didn't take a single draw. I know they want him out there, and so do I, but if you have to play him at wing to do so, he probably shouldn't be in. Same goes for Maata. He definitely looks off. If he can't move, Shultz needs to be in for him.

Malkin said after the game he didn't like playing wing and hopes he will be back at center next game. I'm not too concerned about him he will respond well I think. We didn't have that cohesive look but I think a lot of that was the Rangers imposing their will. I hate that we lost but I'm excited to see how we respond.

It was close, but I think the play was good. I hated the call in the Blues game, and it would have been wrong to overturn the Brassard goal. It should have to be clear cut if they are going to overturn a goal, so in my mind, the refs made the right call. I really hate reviewing offsides anyways. Too many things have to happen after a zone entry to result in a goal that we should go all the back to the zone entry to invalidate everything that happens after that.

People looking at it (especially Blues fans), will call it inconsistency. Just another problem with the way the league is officiated. Calling something 'close enough' isn't good enough in my opinion. If you micro analyse 1 event, do them all or do none.

I said this in EKs blog - old rules + new technology = an argument.

Or you have an advantage rule where if things are 'close enough' the advantage goes with the attacking team. Plenty of decisions left to be adjudicated before this baby finds its dummy lets just hope Stanley isn't decided on 1!!

It sure looked offsides to me, but we got out played. Malkin did end up being Rusty after all, can't say any forward had a great game besides Kessel, and our defense was all over the place. I'm starting to get worried about Olli. I'd strongly consider scratching him at this point. He's too slow right now. He obviously needs to train rigorously during the offseason to get past his string of injuries and get back on track to where he was his rookie season, but he's completing his service commitment so that won't happen. Dumoulin and Daley were meh at best too. Cole and Lovejoy should never see ice time together.

I'm hoping that we come out with a mind set to dominate next game in MSG. We've been outplayed the last two games. The first game we won solely off the virtue of having better talent, but our lack of fire bit us in the ass yesterday. If that break away gets called offside the game end differently? Who knows but I doubt it.

As a hockey fan I was glad they didn't call that offside. I don't want to nitpick about things that much.

Malkin has never liked playing wing, and further more his natural wing is the right wing. I'm surprised that a coach as in tune as Mike Sullivan elected to play him at LW. I think that experiment is over. Not only did Malkin say after the game that he wants to play center, Sullivan also said that ideally he wants Malkin at center.

I guess I had to high of expectations for Geno. Too many Yohe articles that said he looked 100%. I was expecting him to fly out of the gate like he hadn't missed a beat, and after his first few shifts i thought that even more. It was unrealistic to expect that he wouldn't be rusty. This makes me want to swap Kunitz and Sheary even more. Put someone that Geno's comfortable with on his wing while he knocks off the rust.
