Calm yo self bra.
He's been projected as going first by the same site that ranked McLeod at 3, Juolevi as the top ranked D and Chychrun at 10.
Grain of salt my friend. - Whiskey-Tango
McLeod and Juolevi could both go in the top ten. In my top 5 I have Chychrun and Sergochev. Laine is not getting the hype as Mathews but he is still an excellent player. |

Ahh. I thought it was the 15 th of April. Thanks for clearing it up - VANTEL
No worries, I know you're too busy assessing talent to know the details of when your recommendations can be signed...
I know people hate the college free agency, but I kinda like that it at least starts a month and a half late. Teams aren't going to wait for him and will sign guys in the first week of July and possibly fill his spot. It can put the player at a slight disadvantage getting on board that late, while in other situations make it easier to find the roster with the opportunities |

point was that I said Vantel and i thought laine was the best player of the 3 and got laughed at for it....now he's projected as the #1 .....
So for those that felt it was arrogant its just me and Vantel laughing back at those who were quick to laugh 1st. Nothing more.
Perhaps it should have been worded as.....so dont be quick to make assumptions and laugh at stuff, it might come back on you and make YOU look bad - SMBDragon

Sergochev dropped to 9th or 10th North American skater in the last rankings if I'm not mistaken, which worries me. Guys here seem to be a big fan of his and I haven't watched him play, but the players that start to drop towards the end of the year make me nervous |

I see your point, I just hate any team losing a draft pick. |

Doesn't worry me in the least, this is a defence year. He is 5 imo. |

I would still take Sergachev over the other two. We need the big shot. He is the most offensive of thethree |

Definitely. My solution would be to make all players declare for the draft (I would make it specific to college guys, but since they enrol and leave fairly easily, probably easiest to make all of them declare for it). If a guy wants to stay in college for a few years, let him stay there but no camps or NHL assistance, and likewise from the CHL. If McJesus didn't want to go to Edmonton and saw they were the favourites for the lottery, don't declare, stay out another year |

He can throw in as many seconds as he wants, as long as he doesn't give up any of our 5th or 7th rounders in the deal. thats just bad asset management!!! - WhiteLie
Flagged agressivly....if we had an extra 5th and 7th round pick the cup would be all but guaranteed |

How is his creativity on offence? Is he smart and a good puck mover too, or is he more a power guy? |

He is a very good skater . Very hard shot, good passer. He can hit but I never seen a real physical guy . He looks like a good trigger man. He is smart |

Watching the Hawks. I sure hope we take a run at Brouwer. He neutralizes Hossa in front of the net with pure strength. |

It is for sure. I. Think it was Lefty who had a good idea , if they don't sign with their drafted team after 4 years they get put back into the draft - VANTEL
NA players age 18-20 are only allowed to drafted.
European is all ages.

I think what rubs people the wrong way, is what gives YOU the say on who is better than others regarding talent analysis? I don't think one person on here can evaluate talent better than the other without some sort of relative experience as a scout. I think this is why this has blown up into what it is. I think picking a consensus #3 (recently ranked #2) as a "clear cut" better player than Matthews also discredits your statement as the majority of the professionals are all stating something different. Either way, I think maybe you just rubbed people the wrong way with your posts, and you came across a bit arrogant. - Codes1087
Thanks for your tactful feedback. You obviously arent at all like many of the asshats here that treat people like garbage.
I would like to point out that we are all entitled to opinions here. In many of my posts I state them to be my opinions which is very NON arrogant way to expressing yourself, while others blatantly make claims like the state of fact. THAT is what I find arrogant.....because it is. People saying "WRONG" to various people posts....well who are they to say?
And no, some people are better are some things than others, just like how some are great at math and others suck at it. They're just better in a different department is all. Clearly JB is better at assessing talent than many other GMs. This is no different. |

I don't like the gangbanging of a given poster that happens on this board either. Which is why I chose after my initial response to not go on about it.
You're right about JB. if JV, JM Demko, and Tree are any sign of how his draft record is going to be here, it's not going to take too many more years to rebuild! |
