They've been terrible led by Maatta.

There's been an insane amount of giveaways by the Pens today. Mainly the off the board bank passes going straight to Ranger sticks. It's slop and slop eventually catches up.

The Pens need to start bumping into Lundqvist again. He hates that stuff and we looked really good in the regular season doing it.

Game isn't over, but some of these guys need to pick up the effort. The HBK line has been soft and lazy.

Sheary needs to be on Sid's line. That's the first thing I'd change. A couple of other players shouldn't hit the ice. Cough cough, Fehr and Maatta.

Rags are doing an excellent job in the neutral zone, gotta give them credit they are slowing us down.

Things I havent liked this game.
- Crosby needs to stop forcing passes, shoot the damn puck.
- Rust shouldnt be playing today, he isnt back up to speed and without that speed he isnt effective.
- We arent playing that swaming style that worked so well, they look lazy out there, look like they are reacting to the Rags instead of pushing the play.

Its effort, Rangers are playing harder than us, if that doesnt change than neither will the score.

Kessel scored. We need to just admit Maatta is not 100% and likely wont be until next year. And Cole/ Lovejoy is an abomination. You can't blame this on Malkin/ Rust, they are more of a threat than Sundy is at this time. The top 6 needs to do more and they are handicapped by what is supposed to be a PMD but is playing it safe for some dumb reason.

Totally agree with all of that. I thought Rust looked much slower than usual right from his very first shift. Malkin doesn't look like himself either... But at the same hey have to get game action in. Better early in the series than later.

Full props to the Rags for the battle level. Penguins lack there of is inexcusable.

Theyyyy did not look that old IMO. The are forcing passes and not reacting quick enough to the play or the puck. Instead of swarming to the puck that look flat footed slow and dumb. It has not gotten better as the game has gone on, in fact worse.
