Edler... English is ...... meh.
Dorsett.. Spraying the other team with water in the last 10 minutes of the last game of the season screams leadership - Codes1087

"very good" is basically the description of the top franchise players, though arguments could be made for the likes of the Sedins and Naslund, Bure was our only definite elite player. If they can pick top 3 this year, that kid will hopefully be the new face of the franchise, leader and player to build around in the coming seasons - WhiteLie
Mogilny was elite. Better player than Bure and Naslund even.

Naslund should not be compared to either. I don't know if any Buffalo player ever will match Mo's 76 goal 127 point season. |

two UFAs and martin will add 10 years to which was playing there.
Ericsson and another UFA are 10 years older then JV and McCann. Martin i like the idea. More experience on the 4th line would be nice. |

Messier was elite too but neither him or Mogilny would I consider "elite Canucks", term plays into it since, for me, it takes time to be the face of the franchise. |

Whats so funny. Mogilny broke 50 goals a number of times(twice for us) including his 72 goal season which Bure never reached. He was a better all round player than Bure. Bure was more exciting. Exciting is a different category than Elite.
Naslund had a slow start to his career and waned fairly early. He was elite for a minor part of his career...
I'd like to see your argument against?

I have no problem with this line up.
Don't take stock in which line is first second or third. Horvat needs someone defensive on the wing to help his offence excel. |

So is it better to send out 6 foot 180 lbs Jared McCann to play fourth line wing against the California teams 15 games a year or Martin who is 6'3 220 lbs and 26 years old

If we get #2 I don't take Piljuurvi. It is almost a toss up for me to pick Laine or Mathews for #1. I still take Mathews though. |

we are sitting in third right now, that's what i was projecting because according to pro scouts Laine is just ahead of Puljujärvi (that's going to be annoying to spell over the years). |

You don't need to spend 5.5 mil on a third line player. He also scored 30 goals this year. You seen what happened with Vrbatas production when you don't play him to his strengths

I thought he did twice. He did hit 55 for us though.
I got his 72 wrong as well. It was 76. - boonerbuck
I dont disagree that Mognily was great by the way. The point that maybe I veered from a bit over the responses is that the franchise's best players have always been individually very good and, with the exception of Bure, not elite.
If you were taking a single player from any year and going head to head against anyone from that same season, I think Bure would have been the only one people would want and the rest, Naslund/Sedins/etc. would not be in the top 10 individual players in the league. I am hopeful based on the projections for the top 3 in this draft, we get one |
