I enjoyed reading this article, and especially enjoy the Rangers analysis. I didn't think Hank was that old 34?? That window is going to slam shut..

5. New York Rangers
Much of what we just said about the Wild could apply here too. You’ve got a team built to win championships, an aging core, and a tight cap situation that doesn’t leave much room to maneuver with. But New York’s situation feels even more urgent than Minnesota’s, in part because they’ve come so much closer over the years. More importantly, the Rangers are blessed with arguably the best goaltender of his era in Henrik Lundqvist, and generational goaltenders usually translate into a championship or two. But it hasn’t happened yet, and Lundqvist just turned 34. It sure feels like Cup-contending time in New York is running out — and quickly. |

That's right. Really no need of that kind of stuff. I was watching when Hank got that stick in the eye, and I still really hope that he's ok. Never want to see a guy get hurt.
Rangers fans, yeah we love that your owner died.. |

There's an irradiated kids drawing of a monster on a construction pipe that's about to be struck by lightning. Damn right it's the busy season. |

i think sometimes I forgot how lucky we were to have such a great owner in Ed.

I'm sure many saw this, but I hadn't heard how melnyk was blasting the Ottawa coach publicly before seasons end. Holy crap what a gong show. Imagine having that clown in charge. That's a dumpster fire. The outgoings Gm traded for phaneuf and his massively overpaid 7 mil a year and didn't force their division rival to even retain any salary?? What the hell? |

the most important thing for a franchise is to have ownership and front office aligned. Luckily the Flyers have a group ownership so hopefully things will be kept in check with a clear sign of how to move forward already established. It could get sporty if the front office direction ever changes.
Flyers were absolutely blessed to have an owner like him though |
