on the surface, yes. but remember, this is a GM who spends nearly $8 million on Lars Eller and Alexei Emelin. so personally, i would rather see him overpay for 1 good player than overpay for 2 mediocre players. - DoubleDown
Each and every time I see Okposo playing I wonder how he gets so many points in a season. But I'm no scout.

Seriously?!? - fidopro
They didn't give up much for him and he was a .918 with the leafs. I think the Habs would be in PO slot with him in net vs. Shmeddly and Condon |

Just took a look at the UFA crop and the only good fit IMO is Ladd.
Okposo would make us regret the 7M per year.
Stamkos would be g-... meh (frank) it 0 chance it happens.
Trade Pacioretty for a young forward and a young defenseman.
Sign Boedkker to replace him on the right wing.
That would be a start. - Not_Yan
as much as i can't stand Pacioretty... ugh... kills me to say this... i think for his production/cost ratio you can't win a trade involving him. and if him and Galchenyuk have some real chemistry you could be looking at potentially a 90-goal first line.

I don't think they fired him, just didn't renew his contract.
...but yes, he was probably the least of their problems. - stinger67
Hey stinger could you come to Beloeil and look at a building I need to demo with me? |

Pacioretty is worth 2 good young players. Rumor had the Islanders offering Dal Colle and Pulock for him at some point... Just a rumor but I'm sure there is a team out there ready to pay the price for an established scorer like Pacioretty. Boedkker or Okposo can come in wihtout giving any assets.
Just an exercise for fun and to prove that Bergevin has no imagination and no guts, and most of it all, is the biggest fefan of all. Any player who wears the Habs red jersey becomes amazing to him. |

I look forward to the day when Therrien & Bergevin are no longer a part of this organization. They'll have more time to go suite shopping together and continue their bromance once they're gone. (frank) them both. |

i still can't believe he was voted captain. says two things... 1) they (frank)ing hate Subban 2) this team is shockingly void of leadership personalities. |

problem is, i have zero faith that, when the time comes, Molson will be able to bring in any type of competent GM. smartest thing Molson could do is take a step back from hockey operations, relinquish the President title and bring someone in between him and Bergevin. |

so MB and MT should have done this and that, so the Habs without Price, PK, Petry.... can play 4 games in round 1.
Got it. |

by the time those two were out the team was already circling he drain.
he should have gotten better than scrivens to replace price if they knew his injury was long term and if they didn't then they should have. |

if your goalie damages his MCL... you kind of have to have a plan no?
seems like something that would be pretty sensitive for a goalie but I'M NO DOCTOR!! |

they were told 6 weeks. are they gonna trade the farm for something not much better than Condon, for 6 weeks?
case closed. whine about something else, like why Pateryn didn't start the year on the roster. |

well they pretty much made it clear yesterday also that their game plan is basically Carey Price so yeah missing him for 6 weeks seem like it'll be a pretty big (frank)in deal. |
