Capuano just roasted AV for his comments about Sunday's lineup in the Flyers game.
“I dressed our top guys Saturday, I could have pulled back like he did and I didn’t until 2-3 minutes left because we were gun-shy with all the injuries,” Capuano said. “Sunday, some guys were going to get minutes they needed to get some work in — [Cal] Clutterbuck, [Matt] Martin, [Nikolay] Kulemin. [Calvin] De Haan played 20, [Nick] Leddy played 20 the night before. I’m the one who should look in the mirror and say, ‘Did I do the right thing?’
“He’s got his opinion and I like AV, I respect him. He’s a good guy, a great coach who’s had a lot of success. Maybe I should have taken a page out of his book and played my guys less on Saturday.” |

Really? Didnt even know he had a shot. Truth is, he doesnt fire quick enough. He's all about his wind up. He also will crattle a pass before shooting instead of one timing. He's the prototypical "wanna make the highlight reel" player. He needs to dirty up his game a bit, and stop trying to make a pretty pass. Id like to see him play the body a little more. He's not gonna be scoring any big goals......he's a pass first guy. He's not a small guy, so take the size and wear down opponents with relentless hitting. If he gets hurt....its a win win. - kindlyrick
I have a disagree. that is probably with Cappy as coach, he tries to make everyone players into a grinder. but the reality is, some are some aren't.
I say you let skill guys use there skill and grinders grind. I think that's why Strome hasn't excelled.
Tavares has been exactly making the hightlight reel this year either.
btw, Bailey doesn't have a huge wind up. He actually has a great shot. Problem is when he is optimal shooting position he choses to try to make a pretty set up pass that more often that not, does not WORK. |

JT needs someone on his line who will simply pot a gift in front of the net. Bailey is either some combination of not paying attention and/or simply useless. Tavares would easily have 15-20 more helpers per season, if Capuano had someone other than Bailey's sorry ass out there with him.
EDIT: Like I said many times, if Bailey had a card in the old Strat-O-Matic game, his Offensive Awareness rating would be -75. It's almost as if he doesn't know WHY he's standing by the net with a stick in his hands, like the old Quantum Leap show. |

Trocheck and Kampfer in walking boots so both are extremely doubtful for at least the first 4 games #flapanthers
Big loss for them not having Trocheck |

I cant believe im saying this but I hope the rangers kick the penguins arses in the first round. Like sweep them. I cant stand that (frank)ing team and about 99% of their fan base along with their dip shat blogger on this site. |

Both NHL network guys pick the Panthers. Cites Trochek who's in a boot as FLA F depth and questions Hamonic's health who's playing G 1. OK!
