I was actually at both games and relative to most opponent they were some of the least physical.
Maybe you should send less time listening to Howie Rose on TV and make you own assessments.
Its amazing how we get the most favorable matchup in Eastern Conference yet Its mindboggling to hear they prefer to have gotten the pens.
By Pens, so you mean the team that totally Waxed us without Malkin and Fluery. Yea that sounds like a great idea. What next you going to tell me we should of played the Caps b/c we beat them last game? come on now. - Spartiarti
dont we have a better record against the pens then the panthers?

No you said they out hit the isles in every game and I just pointed out that the isles out hit them in each game they played according to the stats. |

If you want to go by Staple, this is what he thinks the Game 1 defense is:
@StapeNewsday
2-3, 44-55, 14-50/6
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see Strait or Zidlicky in |

If they're not both in the line up I'd be completely shocked. He has got to play his "veterans". Do you actually think Capuano is going to grow a brain between now and next Thursday? |

Find it. Dig away I dont remember saying hits specifically. I said they beat the shat out of us physically which they did and have for years now. You used hits as an example to say they didnt which I kind of balked at. Start digging - Cptmjl
Ok you asked for it It might take a while but I will find it sometime tonight |

I honestly don't get the whole "hipster" thing with the move to Barclays...
Hipsters live in Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and Bushwick. Barclays Center is a handful of miles away from these areas (which is considered far in NYC).
I live in Williamsburg so you're getting this from the source.
Barclays Center is more "urban" to be politically correct. No hipsters in that area at all.
If you go west or south of Barlcays Center it is where all the yuppies live (Park Slope, DUMBO, etc.). Again, not hipsters.
So if the whole "hipster" and Barclays Center thing could stop that would be great. Barclays Center and the Islanders are focusing more on attracting an "urban" fan base that lives in that area and is more prone to watching the Nets over the Islanders. |

Steve zipay from newsday just ran the story about how alan vin whatever turned his tv off in disgust at the islander flyers game. Saying the rangera chose to play hard and the islanders didnt

To be fair, walk a couple of blocks south and you're in practically Park Slope, a neighborhood that would read as "hipster" to anyone who cares about such things. |
