If Q scratches Panik and Weiss for Mash. that is really going to help His and Bowmans relationship. if he was going to sit someone it should have been flesch. Mash has 25 SOG in 41 games this year and is a -7, Panik in 30 games is + 4 with 39 shots. Weiss in 15 games has 19 SOG and + 4. What is Q thinking!!!
- kmw4631

Hopefully Mashinter is occupying Ladd's spot for this practise only.
If he is playing over the scratches available, then it is sheer stupidity.

Mashinter in the lineup over Weise is sickening.

It really is. I want an apology and an explanation, and then I want 12 steps and a commitment to change! This is nuts.

would it make to sense much to hope that Ladd is moving to the 3rd line? It would probably make allot of sense to putt ladd with TT over Panik. IE putting 2 vets on each line with one young guy? also the benefit of having a few Vets to help TT with faceoffs.

I don't see Q thinking like this...

I was thinking of when the hawks were relevant again

Blues chased the wings through the 1990's

They have been a model franchise for almost 3 decades

This is my thought... Game 1 will be

You'd think there needs to be a mini blow up of some sorts because math. The deeper they go, the more forgiving an off year will be next year IMO.

They need big production out of the top two lines and an inhuman performance by Keith again but stranger things have happened. Like Carolina winning a Cup.

- fattybeef

They need . . .

Assuming Hossa comes back where he was before this last tweak, for he and Ladd and Toews to pick up where they left off, when that line was starting to really heat up.

Getting Shaw back in some form where he can at least wreak havoc down low gets the Kruger line back in o-zone possession juggernaut mode.

And they need some production out of 12-86-25, and that line being even or plus.

Because St. Louis is going to have to focus it's best defenders on Kane and Panarin, shift after shift. If Hitch tries something else and gets lite up, he could be done in st. Louis.

And, in so doing, playing detrimental mind games with some of his newest players.

I really think the Blues could beat the Blackhawks this year, but after being so disappointed year after year after year, they will have to prove it to me before I actually believe in them. I'm still pissed we didn't draft Toews when we had the chance..........

Defense pairings in drills are as I expected. Q wasn't showing his cards during the regular season. And he likes to have guys prepared to play both sides of the ice on D just in case injuries happen. There is a method to his madness.

Barring injuries, the practice lineup is typically the lineup used in the game. Getting practice reps with your projected line mates is important, and dressing an AHL goon (that cant even hit anyone in the NHL) is plain nonsense.

Q said Ladd will be fine. Wouldn't say who comes out when Ladd practices tomorrow, so we'll see how lines are then. #Blackhawks

Actually, typically when starting players like Ladd are not practicing, the lineup will obviously change by the time the game arrives.

forward depth chart:

ladd-toews-hossa
panerin-anisimov-kane
fliesch-tt-weiss
shaw-krug-desi

13. panik
14. ras
15. mash
16. bicks

the only way mash should sniff the playoffs if hossa and shaw plus another forward are out...

could be mash is skating practice as a place holder for the injured forwards...and if bicks ends up playing we are in deep poop

Based on the practice lines, Mashinter is higher on the depth chart than Weise, regardless of Ladd's status. So, Q has still lost his goddamn mind.

Maybe. Maybe not. I'll let the best coach in the NHL dictate the lineup instead of going crazy and calling him a psycho.

I have been on here for a few years but never posted. I wanted to see if anyone was interested in participating in a playoff pool. The basic rules are below, and if you message me your email address I can send you more details. Please don't send me any lineups until I know that you are interested.

RULES:
Entry fee is $20, with 100% going to payouts. Prior to the start of rds. 1, 2, and 3 your team must be submitted to us via email. The players that you select for the 3rd round will also be your team for the Stanley Cup Finals.

Lineups:
6 Forwards
4 Defensemen
1 Team’s Goalies
**If you select Detroit’s goalies you will get points for all goalies that play for DET during that round.

That is a fair analogy

Hawks chased the Wings for a couple of years

Blues have been chasing the hawks for much longer but this blues team is built differently than 2014

Going to be a close series IMO

- sycsam

To be accurate, the Blackhawks chased the Red Wings until losing to them in 2009 in the Western Conference Final. 4 games to 1 if my memory is correct.

That's a little different than a Blues team that has had trouble getting out of the 1st round, which they have done once since beating the Hawks in 01-02.

I'm not so sure what's in doubt? Ladd is out so Q put his 13th forward on the practice lines. The lines today and his usage since the TDL indicate that Brandon Franking Mashinter is higher on the depth chart than Dale Weise. You know, the guy we gave up our 2011 1st rounder for...
