Thanks, too lazy to look it up. Either way, a truly awful hockey player

Let's go Flames and Jets!

I don't mind a few wins, if the kids are the difference makers, but let's finish 4th from the bottom. 1-2 in the next 3 games

Yup. National broadcasters openly mocking an NHL coach during play stoppages. Doesn't get much worse or more embarrassing than that.

Willie coaches like an Atom house league dad trying to get the most possible icetime for his kid and his kid's friends. It's hard to watch.

Should have been canned after the abomination that was last year's playoff series vs. Calgary."

Saw that on another site. Interesting clip and comments that followed. Other posters pointed out that WD rolls lines this way 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 instead of matching. THey are correct. Doesnt seem to understand how to use what is appropriate for the moment / situation.

But that clip of national television is pretty telling

Dalpe's roommate here in Vancouver played some hockey with us once in a while so I paid fairly close attention to him. He actually wasn't bad, just completely mis-matched to his role here. (As were many others before him, including the Danish Gretzky.)

Zac was an offensive player very much in the mold of Granlund or Vey, yet was used mostly in a very limited fourth line capacity (with Tom Sestito). To put it into context, he was a better scorer than Hunter Shinkaruk at the AHL level, but in the NHL was expected to be an energy checking guy for 7 minutes a game.

His confidence was shredded under that marvelous John Tortorella season, and then charred to a crisp in that tire fire in Buffalo last year. I doubt Dalpe ever had much chance of becoming a serious player in the NHL, but can you imagine what we'd be saying about Horvat if he'd been utilized that way last year? Got to give Desjardins credit for putting him with a decent player like Hansen most of the season so he could develop some offensive chemistry and build some confidence.

"Awful" is a relative term...and he was certainly misused...but no coach could have made him an effective top 9 forward

around 4:30 Bobby Mac talking about d-men Nucks might draft. Sounds like Serg and Chych are looking pretty good!

They both are great and deserve 2 and 3, neither are as good as Matthews though. He's been consensus #1 since before the season.

Maybe. I'd say it's more likely they trade the pick if they don't need a 1C, really the only team in that position is edmonton though. Maybe Columbus because the GM is a Finn, but even then why not trade down to 2 or 3 instead and pick up an extra pick.

Shinkaruk scored...does this mean Phucker will make an appearance?

I can't believe they are playing the kid with Gaudreau and giving him PP time. He hasn't earned sh!t

Get used to it.

Coach is putting him in a spot he can exceed in, nothing wrong with that lol.

I have no problem with a bottom feeder seeing what they've got. They're basically just getting a head start on training camp next year.
