THIS is how youre seeing this wrong

I NEVER say its ALL on WD.....ever. THere are many factors....and many other coaches that are to blame as well. This year injuries had a decent sized hand in our dismal finish. I always say the coaching staff sucks.....and also acknowledge injuries and weak areas on the team. But while we are improving the team, dont we want to improve all those weak areas?

Coaching is an exceptionally weak area on this team, youd think youd want to upgrade it with everything else.

As much as I find these posts amusing...you are a broken record dude...you have been beating the same drum 11 months now. Many posters don't agree with you. Is he a perfect coach? Absolutely not. Did we lose to Calgary because of him? No, we lost because Calgary was superior. No amount of systems could make this team competitive and he seems to work well with the youth so he will be given a chance next year w a healthy roster

I will have to agree with Canuck on this one SMD_Dragon. You have been beating that dead horse for as long as I can remember regarding your dislike for WillyD. It doesn't really matter WHO at this point coaches the Canucks as the roster is just not strong enough. Babcock in TOR is the same thing. McLellan in EDM. You can take any coach and put him on a weak team and hope for improvement, but ultimately you are just putting lipstick on a pig.

VANTEL, i wasn't picking on your comment, just Marwood selectively pointing out perceived issues with my comment in a biased manner.

i have no problem with anyone posting whatever they want any myriad of topics. i just don't like being singled out for opprobrium, but would prefer if someone is going to act like a policeman that they do so in an even handed manner...

Thought provoking question. I am sure everyone here are nucks fans and have been following the team and the players. In all these years I have never heard the Sedin twins make controversial statements. I think they are making a point about coaching and the direction of the team. What do you think?
Take Henriks last statement about how this winning 3 game winning streak was although being the first of the entire season. His comments we not encouraging but rather just because we won it does not mean we are good. I think this is a backhanded indirect jab at Management or coaching. Sedins we always about positive message. If we get blown out, his comments were "I thought we played a good game. We could have done better, but the other team was a better team" Something along these lines. Now we win and he says that this does not mean anything.
Daniels comments about not showing interest. We all assumed it was towards the young players, but what if it was towards the coaching staff? It can be applied to them as well.
I just feel that the change we are seeing is out of frustration and not just the scoreline but is it more then that.
So my question is, Is Bo better then Toews? LOL. But seriously, what do you guys think about their change in behavior.

I think they're frustrated by the long and unsuccessful season. I think they want management to bring in some decent players in the offseason to help them compete now. They're competitive, and I highly doubt they want to just sit back and go with youth and draft high.

The Sedins are not going to badmouth management, they are professionals and want to win. Hank is just being honest (same with the JV thing) this team is not good and he just said that. None of us have ever seen this many rookies on a Canuck squad at the same time. What would you expect to see?

I agree, and this isn't the first time that the Sedin's have said things along these lines. They consistently judge the team by their effort and whether they are doing the right thing win or lose. We have seen them before say after a win that they were not happy with the process or effort and vice versa sometimes when losing that they think the team played well enough.

Exactly. They speak their mind and don't hold back, they would probably destroy some posters feelings around here.

Umm... Willie won the Mem Cup and Calder Cup in his second seasons with those teams, so clearly we are not wrong to have higher expectations than a lottery team

Maybe they're also thinking they have 2 more years of this type of hockey to look forward to.

It's pretty sad to think we could very well only have 2 players with more than 40pts, and 4 with more than 30.

I get the feeling we're much further from being a good team again than people realize. It's all fine and dandy to add a couple of new picks to the mix, but the Sedin's will continue to decline and then we'll still need to find more scoring.
