A draft class with Mario or DP decisions decisions. - Reverend Killtaker
You're an idiot, don't talk to me again. Yeah after the consensus number one pick way back in 1984 is waaaaaaay better than having the #8 to start with and getting 5 maybe 6 NHL players out of 7 guys drafted. You missed the point entirely. Yeah great getting the best player ever at number 1 anyone can do that. |

This might be the dumbest debate ever. You know he's just egging you on for kicks because you make yourself an easy target, right? |

Haha sure you compare the pens drafting to the oilers, then you brag about how this was the greatest draft years of all time when none of the players with the exception of Maatta had played a full season and you even compare Seymour to Bortuzzo. And I'm an idiot. Keep patting yourself on the back. |

Can't believe Daley is the best possible left half wall guy we have to replace Malkin, but whatever works, right? |

Wasn't it last season the Blackhawks were blah the first half of the season then built up steam out of nowhere? It's nice to be hot at this time of year hopefully it carries on. |

Shocking what happens when you have a team using 4 puck moving Dman, and the put TWO on the PP each.
Less breakaway chances, and move control at the blue line. |

Just more evidence that for all of his incredible talent, Crosby does not belong in that spot.
We were talking about it last night, he never shoots from there. Always looking to pass and that's predictable.
I don't care what anybody says, Letang is currently one of the 10 best players in the world right now. Not just D. He's borderline Paul Coffey at the moment. |

I'm good, I never gave him credit for anything. In fact when you guys ask him questions like he is the end all to be all just because he watches a couple of WBS games I cringe. He's the same dumb a$$ that said Sundiqvist can't play in the NHL. I know I am right in my original comment, I have never wavered from that stance. Maybe this is a learning exercise for the rest of you that see this guy as some sort of authority on the farm system. Maybe not. I know what I am talking about, we are raised in the hockey arena. And the Sportsnet guys you said are terrible just said that Crosby is hands down the MVP of the season and I agree with them Crosby is the MVP and Letang is the Norris from December 15 to now, I just don't know if it's enough which is a shame. If the Pens win most of their final last games it will be hard to ignore them but most of the voters will. |

I think Shultz might be better... his shots keep finding a way through every (frank)ing time on the 2nd PP unit. |

He didn't say Sundqvist can't play in the NHL. He said he needs to develop his offensive game in the AHL, which is a completely different statement and is true.
You take things so personally. Just relax man. It's all good.
EDIT: And I'm not going to ignore a plethora of dumb comments because he fawned over Crosby once. Everyone should fawn over him. |

I think the answer is just someone who shoots the puck. |

When Malkin first got hurt and Phil was struggling, I was thinking of actually running 3 dman on PP. I know it sounds crazy but just think of it. Letang up top, Shultz Left Wall, Daley right wall. Sid and Horny down low.
You have letang doing what he does with 2 good one timers at each dot with ultimate net front guy with Sid just roaming and making plays down low. |

Shultz is a righty, Daley left. Having a right on right wall does not work well. Shultz would replace Kessel, not sid. |

Alexander Daigle and NAil Yakupov were not such winners either, But in a few cases in the last 35 years. Lemieux, Crosby, Ovechkin, Mcdavid, Lebron, off the top of my head are bigger winners than guys like Stefan, Daigle, Greg Joly, Mel Bridgman, Gord Kuzak, Brian Lawton, Bryan Berard. But the consensus #1 has turned into a serviceable player more often than not. |

I remember me saying that Sundqvist should be playing and him saying that he wasn't ready. Sundqvist's offensive game is still years away from happening, no matter what league he plays in. And it may never come, still does not take away from his NHL worthyness.

If Pitt didn't have all the injuries he wouldn't be playing. I never once said he wasn't NHL worthy, I've always maintained that he needed to develop but he could def hang if needed to. In fact when he was first called up I said word for word to the jkt guy that he wasn't ready yet but he won't be a train wreck in the line up either.
Look it up if you don't believe me. |
