Wow it's like the band is getting back together again. Now we just need Johnny wrath and holeinone to come out of hiding.

I'm convinced the NHL rigged that series to allow the expansion team to get to the finals. The reffing was soooooooo terrible. The Pens got mugged the entire series. The final should have been Pens/Avs. Basically a series loaded with generational players.

Like I said #ROBBED. I'll never forget that.

Where do we rank on Aussie's Overachieving-Tough to Play-Tough to Beat Scale?
- Victoro311

The overachieving is what Kreiderbomb said we are doing at the moment (it is also what the Rags have done for a few years now really). So it's a direct reference to his obviously biased & jealous call.

On the tough to play/beat standings, I believe we aren't quite at the summit as yet but we are very close. The Buffalo game is certainly an example of a team tough to beat. A team in our situation in that game that is tough to play loses that game - we won it.

BUT (big but), the Devils shutout keeps our status as tough to play!

No Kreiderbomb is a maniac that has the high highs but low lows. There's another poster that would 'nearly' go close to Sammy, but not quite there.

It's funny because the Hawks thread has a poster that would go toe to toe with Sammy.

Ah HB, what would we do without it?

Edit: Fun fact, in French if you are called a maniac, means you over clean or are an insanely anal person about cleanliness.

No its because I have a job that doesn't chain me to a desk all day.

Maybe it was Malkin dragging Phil down......

- sammy87

And you don't have a smart phone, tablet or laptop with you most of the time for what ever this amazing job is you have? I smell BS. I figured your job was poop and you took it out with negativity on this boad. Probably is.

This team is impressive. There's no team in this league that wants any part of them and the funny thing is I don't think they give a (frank) who they get. The amount of goals they're scoring is crazy. I know that will slow in the playoffs but hopefully they play with the puck all the time and the other team can't score. I'd really like to see letang get a game or 2 off. Maybe he will when dumo gets back

Great stuff by Yohe on The Phil today. Everyone claiming that he's a lockerroom cancer is dead wrong. Tocchet, especially, seems to like him a lot and Rick strikes me as a guy that doesn't get along with everyone.

That shot that you GIFed above was apparantly even harder than it looked according to the Pitt bench

Can't believe Daley is the best possible left half wall guy we have to replace Malkin, but whatever works, right?
- Victoro311

He is perfect actually. I asked about that the other day.

Unless we clinch home ice no one should be rested. I get that we're hot and all but home ice would still be huge.

Yohe's article was great.......

“I’m not someone who pays too much attention to rumors or reputations,” Tocchet said. “But let me say, Phil’s way more coachable than people think. Phil treats the staff so well. He’s just a really nice guy. And people don’t understand how much he loves the game. He has a real passion for hockey. He lives for it. He watches games all the time. He thinks about the game all the time. He’s just been great to deal with.”

Awesome... free donuts at work today because the guy who was supposed to train and mentor me is having his last day.

My job may be royally (frank)ed (and it has been since my 2nd week), but free donuts make today okay.

Well I believe he is pushing the "trade Malkin" idea again... obviously if we can steal Stamkos and trade Malkin, I'll side with sammy

I thought I did. I typed up a response and everything. Must have never sent it...

Anyways, garbage buisness model that relied on a niche market. The fact that South Bend's most relavent legacy besides Notre Dame is a defunct auto manufacturer just goes to show how garbage of a town this is. They converted their old family mansion in to this sick museum/fine dining restaurant that I always make my parents take me to when they visit for football games, so I guess that's something.

- Victoro311

that is pretty cool. My dad and grandfather collected every single model from 1964. Had about 20 cars at their peak but had to whittle it down to about 9. I would say about 8 years ago they drove out to the museum and have a brick there and all that. Isnt there an old test track around there too? I feel like they drove on that.

Anyway that is pretty cool. Not sure I will ever make it out there, but I have heard the good side of Stude. Very innovative, but like you said run by morons.

No one should be rested regardless. We have been in playoff mode for about 2 months now. The boys are going balls to the wall against everyone even Buffalo. I say keep it going.
