He def does but it also concerns me with what will happen once malkin is ready to come back. If the Kessel line moves to the third then geno has to adjust to new line

I'm not going to worry about it. Team seems to be playing selfless hockey. Geno will adapt and be fine if he's got new wingers.

If Pitt didn't have all the injuries he wouldn't be playing. I never once said he wasn't NHL worthy, I've always maintained that he needed to develop but he could def hang if needed to. In fact when he was first called up I said word for word to the jkt guy that he wasn't ready yet but he won't be a train wreck in the line up either.

He is not a big point producer. I don't ever see that from him. However, he does a lot of good things good that don't show up in the box score. Plays a solid defensive game and battles along the boards well.

I agree with all of this. He's gonna do fine in the NHL and should start there next season. All I've ever said is that a year in WBS would do him good which it has. Once Pitt gets healthy he'll probably come back down and get some AHL playoff experience as well which will do him good that is if Pitt doesn't stick him in the box as an extra forward.

A good friend of mine is a rags fan, and I've been blessed with having some hilarious ranting posts appear on my fb page from him. A 45 year old with the mouth of a 16 year old raging all halfcocked. Priceless.

So everyone keeps saying Karlsson is hands down Norris Winner. Lets compare to Letang.

Letang has 1 more goal, a higher +/-, and now after tonight more power play goals and power play points. Karlsson has 3 GWG compared to Letangs 1 but Letang has 3 Shootout GWG, so could give Letang 4.

The only thing Karlsson has better stats than Letang are assists.

To me, all signs pointed to this team going streaking before the Malkin injury. They were playing pretty good most nights and just not being rewarded for it. The fact that they are winning without him just shows how solid they really are.

i actually really enjoy going back and forth with you dude. but come on. this is rough.

maybe their styles were struggling to mesh, but i just cant see an argument being made for malkin not having a good season when he was playing.

he was putting up points even under the previous coach. if you want to make the argument that hey, hes never available and his cap/assets could be better allotted elsewhere, okay. its not one i personally agree with, but i can see how one could have that opinion.
