I think he gets 10 - BiggE
I think it was an awful play and believe he deserves 10, but how does the NHL justify 10 after the Wideman gongshow? |

Wideman no history, Keith has a history with DoPS. |

No injury and star player so they will whittle it down a bit |

It will be between 5 and 10... I'm thinking 7 but I could see them going for 10. |

Well... Wideman served 19... then got pay back for 9 of those.
And I think these should not be related by any means... everyone knows the player safety department sucks ass. |

Well it's commendable that Couturier scoring at a 50 point pace this season and leading the team in 5 on 5 scoring per minute, as well as being the team's most dominant possession player and best defensive player hasn't changed your mind.
Wait, not commendable, certifiable. - Feanor

Let stolarz get his feet wet. I've always said I don't feel couturier is a 2nd line center. Not on a contender anyway. - JoeRussomanno
Yeah i think it wouldnt have hurt at all getting him in in Arizona. The team wouldve definitely maybe picked it up around him in AZ and it wouldve been a lighter test compared to a Capitals team or a Penguins team. Also, if he does perform well you could feel more confident about possibly playing him one more time, maybe to break up the 4 in 5 at the end of the year. If he didnt perform, well, you know what u have and u got mason a breather and now u basically know mason is starting the rest. hindsight is 20/20 and no one knew they were going to lose anyway, but that was the best spot to put him in IMO |

Since when does the NHL care about justifying any of their idiotic actions?

Despite the crammed schedule after tonight they will play 2 games in 6 days. Some resting opportunity there before the final gauntlet |

Still think he gets the start on 4/2 against Ottawa. It's an afternoon game, the next night is vs the Pens; it has trap game written all over it. Playing in front of a rookie making his first start may be just what they need to wake up and avoid the trap. |

Read those emails that got released. I've heard annoying little league parents comport themselves with greater dignity. |

It puts them in the top half of their conference, so yes. Not great, but good. |

I disagree, imo for a team to be good they should be in the top 25% of the conference and a legitimate threat to win the cup. That's also totally my preference but i also see this as an over expanded/watered down league. |

Good is a word I would use. When you consider that they are 4th in the NHL in GF/GA differential since the all star break...you might even consider using the word great |

They are currently the 8th seed, i'd say that makes them average. Not much to get excited about or reason to be upset when ppl level some criticism. |
