yeah. i have to say this year isnt even really supposed to be the year. ghost has been great. i wish pouliot was showing those signs, but he has been receiving inconsistent ice time and hasnt been amazing with it.

i'd love to see washington choke in the first round.

Was just watching a replay of game 3 Calgary Vs. Red Deer, and they showed stats on the top defensive tandems combined goal scoring in the CHL, and 1-3 all had a Flyers prospect on it. I pinched myself just to be sure.

the isles have been struggling.

the bruins have been pretty mediocre, although they will always give the pens fits. i think the flyers might be able to dispatch them in a series.

if the flyers beat any of the rangers, islanders, bruins, or panthers, it wouldnt be a huge shock in my mind. maybe the lightning are a bit more vulnerable than people think without stralman.

and of course when the pens and flyers play matchups and statistics mean absolutely nothing.

the caps firepower combined with the potential for holtby getting very hot could steamroll some teams. but other than that, this conference is open for any of the above teams to make a run or just as easily be bounced early.
