I wasn't aware the Couturier bashers on Twitter had moved on to complaining about goals now that he scoring at a 50+ point per 82 game pace. That place really brings out the crazies.

To me, I'd let Ray back up as long as he practiced a bit here and looked good. If love to get stollie a game, but there's a lot of pressure in the games at this point. They might not want to throw him into that. Also, God forbid mase goes down.

It's the what came first, the chicken or the egg scenario. What's more important, experience or youth? From my understand this afternoon, Emery has been playing. I've seen plenty of inexperienced goalie get lit up. We're trying to make the playoffs and it is a high pressure situation.

Yeah, I think he played through it as long as he could. Hopefully it's not a major issue that hurts his summer training. Worst case, he starts his junior year late and the Flyers get another slide year on his ELC

Yes, if he isn't 100% for the start of camp I think that guarantees he will spend 16-17 in Junior, which might have happened anyway. And the Flyers will still have Leier, NAK, Martell, Fazleev and hopefully Lindblom as forward prospects who could possibly play some NHL games next season.

I thought they would let Stolie play some AHL games but the schedules don't line up at all, and it seems like they don't want Emery backing up Mason. They want Emery to back up Stolarz if God forbid Mase got hurt. The two current Phantoms goalies aren't even on NHL contracts.
