Hossa had a good game tonight. Shaw, Kruger, Desjardins line has been outstanding, Flieschman has been solid, Ladd getting some timely goals/pts
- TheTrob

Hossa played well defensively, but please he missed three high quality chances to score...Zohar has been a problem for him all year...he is snake bit, like Toews.

Playing like crap and finding 2 points is certainly better than finding zip.

Actually i think its fair to say the team has improved slightly and is no longer playing like crap, rather playing below average. The next step is to be average. Then hopefully they reach Good come playoff time.

Not pretty at all but 2 games inside of 24 hours.

Kruger makes a difference. Think you saw why Erhoff has been absent for a good period of time.

Right now I am Ok with the Hawks progress the last two games. The Hawks played a higher tempo game, the passes where more crisp, the PK much better and most of all the defense played very we'll most of the night. Watch out! The boys are starting to come out of the crapper.

C'mon Jack...

...Van has nothing. A Hawks club playing ok should've taken the Canucks to the woodshed.

But 2 points is 2 points.

If this level of play continues though...the Wild will dismantle the Hawks yet again.

What would we say if Darling did not stand on his head last few days and played to average level of let's say Flames/Nucks goalies? Couple more losses in a row?
Why Penguins can win without Malkin and Maata several in a row and Hawks are hung on a rope or do not care is easy beyond me. When s the last time when it was fun to watch their games for some period of time? Last year circus trip perhaps?

If the Hawks were smart at the end of the season, they'd buy out Hossa and re-sign Ladd...IF THEY'RE SMART

I know the Hawks are struggling to fine their game and playoff seeding but would anyone else like to see Toews, Hossa, Keith, Seabs, Hammer and even Kane each get a couple games off before the start of the playoffs?

i am seeing in improvement....however not good enough vs playoff teams....this team is still missing something...call attitude, confidence...still not seeing the hawks of old...

interesting great kills came with toews sitting in the box both nights

Maybe Panarin hit the wall because in his KHL Days he never played this many games in a season...give some slack , he will bounce off the wall with a couple days rest.

Here's the rub though SoHawk....not sure if the fine print allows Hoss to be bought out, but in theory, it would be the shrewd move. Hoss is far from done, but we need to get younger and Ladd's only 30.

Another struggle this evening...but Darling continues to improve by getting more work and carried them this evening.

PP now 0-23...

I guess what really bothered me was the constant that any time the Hawks could have taken a shot on net they deferred and passed the puck...stop making the extra pass and put the darn thing on net.

TVR up in the rush tonight with two helpers and Sved with that long reach...but it still seems that we're a dman short and that's on Stanley and his giftwrapping of Oduya and Johns to Dallas over the summer. The big three look gassed. Wonder if Q will give guys a break down the stretch here?

On to Minni - haven't beaten the Wild this season. Does anything change Tuesday night? We'll see soon enough...

Wow.... Better look out for lightning bolts after saying something like that!
I agree though that Hoss has not only lost a step, but maybe two steps. Add to that age and not scoring.. not good. He will be back next season.

They did, Miller stood on his head to keep VAN in the game the 1st 2 periods. Scoring chances in the 1st were 11-5 in favor of the Hawks. High danger SC were 4-1 Hawks.
He's well past his prime, but that was a hell of an exhibition he put on.

Love Hoss, but this is BUSINESS, not personal.
Hoss is 37 and in decline. Ladd is 30 and in his prime.
