Was wondering the same thing, Zo. If Leighton didn't play well in relief of Darling a couple back I'd say Darling for sure. Now I don't know. Has Darling played back to back at the NHL level?

Svedberg not playing so "nice" tonight.

"Too bad"- There probably is some remedial English courses you can take online.

It appears that you should take your own advice and read the CoC.

Enjoy your break.

Third game in a row that Pat has commented on Panarin "Panarin doesn't want to shoot it for some reason"

Maybe he's just trying to save Stan some cap space by missing his other bonus

I predict: Connor McDavid wins the Calder. 45 points in 41 games, certainly the best rookie in the league.

Voters will look at Panarin's age and pro experience, they'll not "punish" McDavid for his injury....

I would vote for him - he's clearly the best rookie, IMO.

Panarin speaks almost no English, so maybe "shoot" sounds like "don't shoot" in Russian.

Can only imagine this might be Panarin's response:

They should just play him on a different line. He's way more dynamic when he isn't playing on the same line as Kane.

That's the only player that could beat Panarin...But if Panarin comes on in the next 10 days I think he still will win.

If McDavid was playing in Carolina or Florida or in not a major market south of the border he wouldn't win. Awful team and missed so many games...That said a truly great talent.

The age factor is moot point-Still within the rules which they changed years ago and 1st time Panarin has played on this size ice surface.

What hurts him more than anything is the Kane affect...

The game against the Jets proved that. Q keeping it in his back pocket?

Agree - better that Panarin gets some shifts with back pocket line(s) to build the chemistry, and hopefully, get his offense going again.

I find they're playing ok. Keith not so much. Svedberg, TVR and Ehrhoff with some solid defensive plays. Hjalmarsson looks aggressive.

Way better than last night, IMO
