Not pretty at all but 2 games inside of 24 hours.

Kruger makes a difference. Think you saw why Erhoff has been absent for a good period of time.

- RickJ

I can't say that I saw anything to make me believe that Ehrhoff should be sat instead of Svedberg or Gustafsson. What did you see that makes you say this?

Love Hoss, but this is BUSINESS, not personal.
Hoss is 37 and in decline. Ladd is 30 and in his prime.

- philco28

I dont disagree, but what do you do? Unless Hoss goes to Stan in the off season and says buy me out the Hawks will bring him back. Call me nutz, but I think Panik has top 6 potential. That guy has got wheels, hands and will throw some hits.

Or is he bad bc of his absence?? He was very good in his first games as a Hawk

Ehrhoff didn't get a shot on goal, but assisted on Fleischmann's goal, finished +2 in 15:11 and blocked two shots. Solid game. #Blackhawks

Tough call and a lot harder than scenario i suggested and YESSSSSS....Panik is a Hossa doppleganger in promise. Belief in him and delivery on his part are the Alps.

Yeah, I thought he looked decent. Certainly better than TVR and Gus have looked as of late

2 for 9 at the dot though and paper mache' defending on tying goal.

Had a nice game, but not an A+ performance by any stretch

- philco28

I'm not expecting an A+ performance, he's not going to be Kane or Panarin 2.0. If TT can be closer to 50% on the draw and play like tonight that's a huge positive impact on the team's success.

Agree on Panik. And let's hope Hossa gets his two goals soon. He really does seem distracted by it.

Isn't Hossa the one who prompted Stan to make this trade for his countryman? Maybe he felt the same way.

Maybe, but I'd even be happy with Panik as a solid 3RW. Next season will be a huge opportunity for Panik, we'll see how well he does.

What happens to the recapture if Hossa becomes a player/coach next season at a lower salary?

- pdx2ord

PX thanks btw for your info on last thread about Ehrhoff being on trip
He was decent tonight.

Hossa on the hometown discount/mentor/plan works for me

how long are Svedberg's arms -- good attribute to have on defense, no?

Length is a huge attribute. Lack of coordination is a liability.
I'm a big FrankenSwede fan, but he was fugly on both goals.

Typically, adult male wing span = or slightly > height (at least based on what I've always heard and a quick scan of google answers to that question).

The cross ice passes are killing us. Too predictable. Dump. Chase. Put it on net. Go hard for a rebound. I'm curious, does it hurt to finish a check? Maybe the hocks are wearing their protective gear inside out. If you've got a guy lined up, HIT HIM. The guy will probably be shocked that a hock finished a check. Dag nabbit. Have some fun guys.

GO HOCKS!

TT played well tonight. Wouldn't mind seeing the Smurf line kept intact for a week or so.

Hawks clearly trying to play as vanilla as possible. They really have nothing to play for that's worth it. Too many points behind Dallas and STL to make a run at the division now. But they are poised to decide whether they want to play the 2nd seed or the first wildcard against the Kings.

I honk they will try to hold on to 3rd, and the best matchup may being Dallas falls to 2nd to be their matchup. Then you only need to worry about one of StL/Nashville and then one of LA/Anaheim.

Face offs I think he can and should improve on...but he has got to start learning how to play bigger than his size... And some if not most of that needs to come in when he doesn't have the puck...

4 behind both...yeah tough to pass both with 6 gms left....hawks would need to finish 4-2 or 5-1 and have those two go 2-4...don't think thats happening...
prob need to go .500 to hold off the preds
