Edmonton and Winnipeg deserve more love. Two best young players in the game!

WPG always gets left out, TOR and EDM are always mentioned as teams on the rise but WPG's young core is great

The Jets who I had #1, and bumped down slightly because of Trouba (who since signed) needs more love ... ok

if not for the McJesus factor I would take Winnipeg's roster (now and moving forward) over either of those 2 teams.

I think when all 3 teams reach their "prime", Edmonton will have the most success, followed by Winnipeg, then the leafs.

I think you are right. I think they can do playoff damage this year.

I love that you're not even trying to sell the idea that the sens are a decent team anymore.

He doesn't have to sell it......the standings speak for themselves.

Nice touchdown loss the other day by the way.

I don't care about losing like that to LA. this is a growth season. it's a young team. they'll have ups and downs. they ran into a veteran team, top possession team in the league each of the past 5 years, reigning selke winner, reigning Norris winner and best dman in the league. Stanley Cup winners twice in the past 5 years. it'll happen.

the sens are touted as a playoff team by their own fans, one of the oldest teams in the league, and are barely scraping by bottom feeders like Carolina, Vancouver, and buffalo. and frequently getting outshot, outchanced, and outplayed by those bottom feeders.

What's going on in Toronto is looking good, and a great sign for coming seasons. What's happening in Ottawa? you guys are in for a rough ride. that garbage veteran overpaid team is locked up for many years.

Leafs have 4-5 good players and some b level prospects in the minors. You'll be playing 2nd fiddle to teams like Edmonton, Winnipeg, Tampa, etc for years

Ottawa is a much better team right now......and given the Leafs track record of futility and stupidity over the last half century maybe you should wait until the team doesn't suck balls before getting cocky.......that's probably still a few years away

you're 3 points up on the Leafs, and 2 of those came from the shootout. with a schedule that has included Buffalo x 2, Carolina, Vancouver x 2, Arizona, Detroit and Nashville. Neither are playoff teams. But at least one is a team on the rise.

I hate to break it to you, but the Sens ARE awful. Just plain garbage.

Prock is looking somewhat feeble. Leafs have worst goals against record in NHL. NHL fan base is very excited about Laine. So, all the negative talk about other team's is merely misdirection. Talk about anything but please do not notice that the Leafs will disappear from playoff contention this December.

This would be tolerable if they had picked the right guy at the draft. This is what is causing so much anguish among the blue and white faithful.

I am very busy at work and was hoping to hold off on my comments until December when Leaf fans will start to sound like a modified Buffalo chant "we would rather have Eichle over McDavid.

Was the Leaf front office derelict for failing to look at Laine more seriously?

Hahahahahahahahhahaha. they did pick the right guy. I'm happy with what they're doing so far this year.

you guys make me laugh. veteran team you thought would be good. can't score to save their lives. my bets on them being out of the playoff race by the all star break.

look what happens to your golden boy Karlsson when he is forced to play defense. 3 points in 10 games or whatever? I think we are getting the proof that his point totals were always a direct result of him completely ignoring defense. I bet there are some voters realizing they made a mistake voting for him to win the Norris, and that he never deserved it at all.

I bet of they could go back they'd change their vote.

How many goals does your Lord and saviour have in the last 12? Matthews had one great game and has been an average player the rest of the season while guys like Laine and werenski have been dominating

Ryan dzingel is producing athe the same level as matthews, and is more consistent

Karlsson is playing magnificent hockey. He is still setting guys up and making incredible passes. They have hit some very good goaltending but have kept on winning. Goals will come. Overall, you have to give high marks to a team that has implemented an entirely new defensive system and yet is still getting their fair share of points.

Lot of credit has to be given to Phaneuf. He has done a great job in giving the Sens a very strong second pairing. Looks pretty good from here!
