Calgary needs a goal tender...easier said than done but beyond that they have a good team and its only getting better. Worst save percentage in the NHL by a wide margin.

IF they get someone they are top 2 in canada for sure

I believe Petr Mrazek, James Reimer & Frederik Andersen are all UFAs this July 1st.

Dops post your thoughts on the Canadian teams instead of more videos.. What order do you have them?

Try not to clutter up this thread with videos and gifs. There must be another one dedicated to stupid videos you can post in

And it all starts with the Draft Lotteries

I think it starts with ownership having a desire to win, and not just milk the team for an extended vacation in the Caribbean.

But what do I know?

This is coming from a fan of the team that milks the most from fans than any other team in the league, and has displayed absolutely zero desire to win this season, a season with a clear goal of tanking themselves into sub-basement of the NHL.

That's an interesting way to spin it.

And by interesting I mean typically stupid.

it should be the oilers
but honestly i think it may be toronto. A team accepting its place and doing a full rebuild, have one of the best coaches in the game , building from the ground up

that being said the oilers may be the first to show real improvement just on the laws of probability.

The habs will make the playoffs when price is back, but the same underlying issues will still be there

If Montreal wins the lottery they jump into 1st by a very wide margin. Top center, top defenseman, and a top goalie. The makings of a cup winner.

I dont think Montreal is in a better Position Currently.
I am considering management, coaching, prospects, current roster.

I would put them ahead of Edmonton... but Mcdavid changes things... this summer is going to be interesting for several Canadian teams

After reading many of Bergevins season end comments... I def have Montreal near the Bottom...just some awful takes

Ottawa has a new GM..I dont have a good idea of what king of a GM he will be yet. Ottawa needs to invest in Analytics, its the only way a cheapo time like them can keep up and get an edge otherwise they will get left in the dust with old School mindsets

New GM, same owner.

They may move into a tie with the Nucks... But that just makes Vancouver tied for worst. That's assuming the new guy is any good.

as great as that would be, I think you guys put way too much weight on getting the #1 pick. With a healthy Price the Habs are ahead, the question will now be whether or not he can be that.

It's pretty hard to overrate a guy that's projected to be a star center.

I'm just saying that by adding that #1 pick the expectation shouldn't be instant playoffs.

I think in Leafland, a lot of that hope hinges on getting two 1st overall picks this summer, not just one... and the replacement of a lot of this year's spare parts with full seasons of the youngsters who looked so good down the stretch.

If Price is healthy, not even Edmonton is all that close. The Habs are way ahead of the other Canadian teams.

I think the expectation should be zero 1st overall picks.
