I have wondered this too. I know he is just a kid, and twitter posts should be taken with a grain of salt, but it is clear to see where is allegiance lies. He is the biggest Boston Bruins/Patriots fan I have on twitter. All posts are post-draft as well. The post regarding OEL and "yeah Vancouver is good" makes me wonder a bit about his intention to sign with us. - Codes1087
Dont you mean pre-draft? His comment about Vancouver being good was made March 2015, and he was drafted in June 2015, no?
EDIT: I also wouldnt look much into his comments regardless, that was a bad goal for Vancouver to give up. I am sure if that was Boston or whomever the guy would've made the same poke for being really bad defensively on that play

I got the same feeling, its got to go Vancouver's way for once. Even if they finished 27-29, I am feeling this one cant go Edmonton or Toronto's way - WhiteLie
Oilers or Leafs won't get it. I think it's going to be us #1, Blue Jackets #2 Leafs #3 Oilers #4.
After we draft Matthews, I'm sure Benning will trade McCann for a pick around 10-15 to get Bean or Fabbro. Might then try and trade Hansen for a later round 1st pick to get another defenseman. Then take another d with our early 2nd round pick.
I'd really prefer that it happens because the teams around them heat up rather than seeing the Canucks continue to flounder like they have over the last week.
That's two thumbs up Carol, I was feeling lonely, adrift at sea, with no one to assist or even care about me, I was even contemplating not posting again until September...and then this comment, that reassures me that you are also a bad canuck fan for not wanting the canucks to flounder... ahh to have some wind in my sails again

whats the skinny on bean or fabbro? I havent really seen them or read about them, just their names here only.
Personally Im pretty pumped on segachev. Written scouting report on him i read was pretty awesome. Better than chychruns report.

Gotta love D.Sedin for calling the guys out. I expect a better effort tomorrow. I won't be disappointed by losses, as I want a top-5 more than most seem to but it's not ok to get rocked like we have been. unfortunately our D is the worst shape it's been in all year, and that is saying something. I personally would shy away from a highly touted Russian, especially a defenseman. They are an enigma, and I wouldn't waste an early first round pick on one.
From all reports I've read, Bean and Fabbro have been moving up the prospect ranks this year, which is what you want to see if picking someone. I'm not a fan of taking guys falling (Shinkaruk, McCann, Ho Sang etc..), I'd rather have someone stepping up when they need to.

Really? The one on hockeydb is the opposite. Chychrun is the clear favorite among scouts as an all-around defender, best in class skating and hands. Fabbro was slated a defensive d-man, but his stats speak of someone with clear offensive ability (67pts in 47 games). I think it's Chychrun/juolevi or Sergachev where we are now (4th pick). Fabbro seem a consensus mid-rounder. I think were taking Matthews 1st

I'm just waiting for these draft orders to change after some random lights it up in the Memorial Cup.

You are right there. That particular comment was pre draft but he definitely has shown his interest for the Boston area sports franchises. Either way, I am not super worried, I am just hoping he doesn't pull a Schultz or soon-to-be Vessey and go elsewhere.

Yeah its something thats starting to trend a bit more as better players have started coming out more consistently from the NCAA, definitely a growing fear to lose prospects. I think guys are also smarter, in that if they were planning to ditch their draft team they would be more quiet on the subject. I think he's just being a college kid having fun on social media with his friends not really realizing how some Vancouver fans may interpret his posts. At heart he's still young and he loves his hometown teams, soon he will realize he might be able to play in the league and focus more on his own future and lose all allegiances

Don't worry Makita, I'm on the raft desperately clinging to the faint r(h)ope of compete as I try to push Mr. Drafty in to the sea as the sharks circle in the blood clouded water below.

48.5% chance of picking 4th. Trust me, Leafs will pick 4th - walshyleafsfan
This is why I said coming last only sets you up for failure. You expect 1st overall pick, but it's still an 80% chance you don't get it.
Coming in at 27-29, you don't have expectations for the 1st overall, and when we win it, it's going to be the greatest celebration since our back to back Presidents Trophy days.
