But if we get Double Dion then its worth it!!!! - WhiteLie
Just wiped the last of my projectile vomit off of my monitor, key board is a bit of a scene on the other hand. Might be ALL CAPS THE REST OF THE DAY. |

Karlsson? - VANTEL
Over rated. Dion will stablize the chaos that is the Canucks defense with his hardnose play and leadership |

25 Yr old Norris trophy winner RHD with 139 pts in the last two years and you are not willing to give up our first and a #3 Dman - VANTEL
I would rather keep the picks and keep drafting & developing. NOTHING is going to fix this mess for several years. Patience, son. |

They pay him more money because he is better.
better asset management would be we offer sheet him, regardless of his present contract status, and bring him into the Canuck fold, son, rofl,

Tonight Jets have 5 players out.
Not skating today at Canucks practice the Twins and Hamhuis. This is a very important game to lose.
Like I said this is the last 11 games I cheer to lose . Not doing it again next year. - VANTEL
Don't see us losing tonight, the Sedins are pissed and Burrows is playing for a job next year on their line. Winnipeg wants to lose as much as we do, so I say Canucks 4-1 as we finally break out with Burrows getting 2, Baertschi and Hutton getting our goals. |

If Benning absolutely knocks it out of the park and minimizes his mistakes and continues to do that and ownership learns to ignore media hysteria this team just might be ready to play competitive relevant hockey three or four years from now. |

Our main problem is scoring from the back end . That would fix our biggest problem |

1040's poll question: "Would you like to hear a blunt assessment of the Canucks from ownership?"
The local media that thinks ownership should have minimal input in how the organization is run wants and encourages more ownership input....
the same media that wants the team to tank is upset the club is on a losing streak...
the media has mood rings on every finger and toe while juggling magic 8 balls... |

If fixing the problem is losing 5-4 every night as opposed to 5-2, then you're right. |

That's one of our main problems. Bigger IMO is our lack of quality depth throughout the lineup, and no single player fixes that. In fact, trading multiple pieces for one player actually sets us back. The best course is to draft well and let the prospects develop. When we are closer then a trade like that makes sense, but not now. |

No offense, but this is crazy. 376 points in 470 games. Nuff said. Karlsson is imo the most skilled player in the world. Pound for pound. Noone gets that many points as a d man these days, not even close. have you seen how fast he is? I would do terrible things to get Karlsson on the canucks....terrible things. |

Yeah we have just as big a problem preventing scoring from the back end. |

Was feeling like being a little Leafy this morning...
I actually think he is well underpaid and his defensive game is underrated and heavily overshadowed by his offensive abilities |

Only because his offensive abilities are so good imo, I've been watching the sens a lot lately and I rarely see him caught behind a play (because he's sooo fast)or leave his partner behind for an odd man rush. He's probably my favourite player in the league though, so I'm biased... and I would pay the farm if I were a GM.
Trade for Karlsson, get stamkos/demers in Free agency, then win 10 cups in a row.... get on it JB!! pigs will also fly this day |

He is 25 . Paul Coffey in his prime.
There is no one that compares remotely in this years draft on D . You guys are talking Chychryn or Segachev . Neither of them could hold a candle to Karlsson.
Lefty asked last night where would you find a true #1 , they don't fall out of trees . One just did.

If Karlsson chose to play 1c or wing, he'd be this era's gretzky. His skating is on another level. Is Karlsson really on the market tho? Cant ever see a team ever wanting to trade him. |
