Nuge and Ebs would be the obvious choices...our first rounder...Hall (but that has to be a fantastic return) besides McDavid and Drai I would assume our GM would be open for buisness with anyone else - RatedR80
good thinking.
its nice to converse with an oilers guy that has a brain and isnt in fantasy land |

If the Canucks were lucky enough to win the lotto and draft Matthews, then and only then would I see McCann getting moved.
Outside of the top three they draft a dman and you largely see the same team as you did this year. - LeftCoaster

Lefty said we need Sutter as second line centre. I said if we have someone else en we don't need Sutter as second line C - VANTEL
I think Sutter will play in the middle. He's a fringe 2C but what he adds defensively and in the dot we sorely miss. I doubt he plays wing, or displaces Hank to the wing. |

I will take that bet of Canucks making the playoffs next year, as ring in Erikkson to play with the twins.
If we draft a top 3 this year we will be getting a player like Eichel or Larkin. Ready to play next year.
I don't think Benning will be dumb enough to bring back Hamhuis , and if he is really smart he will trade Tanev and his low point production and 20 hits.
Bo right now is a third line centre. Very few flashy numbers even bordering on poor. I do like him and do think he will get a lot better but so far is average.
I do expect the Canucks to be very active this year. I expect the two slowest guys on the Team next year to be the twins - VANTEL
i must say I dont watch the bruins so I am not familiar with erikksons play. Whats his deal and why do we want him? |

Back in 1998, Eriksson showed great chemistry with the twins as they went on to win a gold ribbon at the Stockholm science fair.
His knowledge of the periodic table would be a key addition to this team as he'd undoubtedly be able to help tudor much of the youth, enabling many of them to graduate. |

Oilers and Leafs officially eliminated from playoffs, Oilers are only 1 point behind us. |

I don't see how they can fix it, one two defensive pairing guys just aren't available. Almost every team is looking to upgrade its dmen. - LeftCoaster
dont forget we got 2 new D late this season that have a lot of promise.
with tryamkin and pedan on board and our guys healthy to start the season we should be better then next season just by itself. maybe add 1 more from there and see |

Has been solid since his last call up but before then I would have said no he needs alot more time in the AHL....feel more better about him now then I did a few months back....I dont know if it was worth the 1st rounder in the end but that will take a couple of years to decide

True. Hank may be hurt right now but will be ready to go for next year. They will experiment with Sutter and the Sedins but ultimately you can't lock up two top centres on one line like that. Granlund looks to be suited for 4LC next season so with Hank Sutter and Bo down the middle we should be set. I would not be shocked to see Vey lock up the 4LC either...gonna be interesting. |
