Fast has sparked guys struggling this season and forechecking well which could help that line. The way I look at it is each line has 2 legit players on it that can score with a nice complement player on each with maybe the Kreider-Stepan-Miller line being the most balanced. As an opposing team who do u put your #1 d-pair on. Nash and Staal? Kreider-Stepan-Miller? Zucc and Brass? Might give each line a little time away from the other teams top pair.

that's a good point. does make the lineup deeper

I find pretty amazing, considering the years of a bunch of key players are having, that they are where they are in the standings.

Girardi/Staal been pretty bad
Nash invisible for the most part
Kreider Hayes Stepan underachieving
Of course Boyle yandle should be out the door lol...did I miss anyone?

Maybe it means they all start clicking at the right time and we sweep through the 2016 playoffs!

they definitely won't sweep through the playoffs, and probably will have a couple of playoff games where they look as bad as saturday, but, the Rangers are an extremely difficult team to eliminate in a playoff series, that will continue to be the case

As long as Hank is in net there's always a chance. Although it is funny the games Raanta has been put it in, they seem to clean up a lot of defensive mistakes.

I kinda like the position they're in, kind of under the radar, seemingly a cluster(frank) of struggles, no where near a favorite at this point....boom that's when they'll pounce. I even think the 7 seed may be the best spot, vs a young panther team or a less physical TB team. Bruins still strike fear in me however.

Our 4th line has murdered you in the playoffs the last 2 years

I bet you hate Dominic "Penguin Killer" Moore

You'd be shocked how bad my memory gets after the season when I stop caring so much... I just move onto baseball and football stuff

I'm a firm believer in regular season means squat...a great one puts a crazy amount of pressure on teams (rangers last year obviously). Getting in no matter where is all I care about. Home ice means shyt. Hank gives us the advantage over most teams. Regardless how any team plays, the goalie will take you as far as you can go. Holtby has immense pressure this year

there are people on twitter who think the 24 playoff games AV has won as NYR coach are meaningless but a 6-4 regular season loss to the Islanders is the absolute end of the world

I'm fine with Nash doing nothing right now because even if he scored 100 goals this year or had hat tricks in 3 straight games, all anyone would say is, well, its not playoffs so who cares.

I think people might care if he suddenly broke Wayne Gretzky's single season goal record in 15 games or less.

Agreed just gotta get in thought I would rather not play the caps in the first round. I will say this.. a regulation loss tonight and I will be more than a little worried

Woah... woah woah woah. Thats been my goal for the Pens the last few weeks since I didn't figure we'd go on a winning streak.

I would just be worried about free falling if we start rooting to drop down to the WC spot.. next thing you know you're playing the caps or out of the whole thing (which I give about a 5-10% chance of happening)

in 1995-96 they were really good all year, really good, and then they free falled towards end up season and never really got their mojo back, even though they beat Montreal in first round.

This year reminds me of that year a little bit, of course the Ray Ferraro/Norstrom for Kurri trade really derailed that team more than anything

Only thing I liked about Churla was he was a (frank)ing missile on the forecheck.
