Kuhn is a guy that has played much better of late. I think he just needed to get use to the NHL but he is a serviceable bottom six player. I wasn't impressed with him early but he's doing a nice job. - acdc1206
He does a lot of things the right way. |

As great as we are playing I think if we lose one of Letang, Crosby, or Dumoulin we are in some serious trouble. Those 3 are just irreplaceable right now. - Dcoms
Why would you say this...its on u if one goes down lol |

I mean yeah, but if Chicago loses one of Toews, Kane, or Keith they'd be in serious trouble too. |

No clue why Bones is in on the first PP. I'd strongly consider trying out Fehr down low. - Victoro311
Well, they've got him in the spot where he was a problem to deal with in Anaheim, that high slot with talent all around him. So they're putting him a spot to succeed.
I just like it because in the midst of PP issues, Sullivan is trying lots of things to find the right solution. Those kinds of actual adjustments are what we've been pining for. |

I disagree, it would hurt them but not as much as we would be hurt with Malkin already out. TT can play 1C, Panarin can pick up Kanes slack, their defense is not good after the top 3 so yeah if they lost Keith they would be in trouble. I guess I should have just singled out Dumo and let the obvious ones be obvious because we cannot replace Dumo right now, he is just playing on another level and in every situation. |

one could argue Chicago is already in a lil trouble...the panic buy everything at the deadline usually signals a lack of confidence in the team...we have done it here and it typically blows up in ur face...cant remember the last time a team added so much at the deadline and had it actually work..... |

I like the fact he's trying new things. But take away one thing for me to female dog about, and I'll find something else. Right now its Bones on the first PP. |

Look like a great start. Just hope we can continue to battle hard through the next 2 periods & not let the '3rd period' Caps get any type of roll or rhythm to be dangerous.
Lets Go Pensssssssssssss!!!!!
F Trotzzzzzzzzzz - I feel some poop coming Pens way this period (its Bazzas way!! ) |

Chicago bought things it actually needed though. We don't always do that. |

And after yesterday's discussion the flyers d may be good in the future but no one has as good of a d corps as the Ducks. Why did we give them Despres again? Lindholm, Despres, Fowler. Vatanan, Theodore and Manson are all 24 and younger and are all starts in the making. It's not even fair how good that group is. Excellent drafting and dealing bu the Ducks to build that group. |

I can tell you one thing for sure. The Caps will take the body and test this team's mettle. We will not be able to nurse this lead for two periods. Hope we stay somewhat aggressive and use our speed. If they are overly aggressive and cheat we need to make them pay. And this team suddenly seems able to finish. |

They bought too much..it can severely mess with team chemistry. ..he hawks have been steadily crawling down the standings since the deadline...Id take ana, la, sj all over he hawks.in a 7 gamer...id even say its 50/50 with dallas and stl...but I hate the hawks..could be bias haha[url] |

I wonder if Dan Bylsma and Ray Shero are taking notes on youth bringing speed and enthusiasm to a roster.

Some of the guys that they saw as throw ins like Fleischman are working out good for them. Last year it took Vermette until the 5th game of the playoffs to score his first goal for the team. We had a good TDL this year. We bought low on right handed dman that was playing over 20 minutes a game for his old team with the intention of playing him on the bottom pairing. If he didn't work out the gamble really did not cost anything. But it has worked out and we can re-sign him if we want so he could be a rental or he could be a permanant solution. Good restraint by JR not to do something stupid like trade Sprong, Murray, or Jarry. Those 3 are worth much much more in a few years after they have proven themselves. I like having 3, potentially 4 with Maquire NHL caliber goalies. |

He's been bad handling the puck since the beginning of the game.
He's got to shake it off. |
