With that said there's no reason to even think about sending a guy back out there up 3 goals with 10 minutes left so even if he did get the wind knocked out of him or got his bell rung a bit you wouldn't know.

I agree with the sentiment before.... he didn't immediately have to be handed off to 2 guys in the run way... Being a medical guy, I always look for how the player walks off to get a little more info.....he took a few steps with a trainer on his right before a guy on the left grabbed him... that's a good sign all things considered i have to think.

So ... didn't watch one second of the game as I was at my son's hockey banquet. Sounds like it was a dominating performance. Saw some of the highlights and looked like it was a play-off type atmosphere and Washington hates to get embarrassed, so they go Broad Street Bullies on us.

Saw the box and it looks like a lot of production from third and fourth line. Always a great sign. Nice to see Rust finish. Kunhackl must have played awesome. Daley's goal looked something like the goal he scored yesterday against Filly?

As well as Washington has played this year, I'm not sure they want to see the Pens in the opening round. We might matchup the best of any team in the East against them.

haha yeah maybe. either way, i'm glad its mended. because stylistically those two just work.

There's no reason they have to qualify him to sign him. Just wait for him to become a UFA and then sign him to a reasonable deal. Schultz should want to stay right where he is (at a more reasonable price).

Really would suck to lose Dumoulin, but having Lovejoy and Pouliot waiting in the wings is a luxury.

Cap appears to be going up more than expected. There's some chance this turns into a Happ situation where the players value goes from project to market price guy. Only difference we have the QO option though at a fairly high price. I don't think anyone will want to sign him to term at his talent level before seeing him perform for a full year outside of Edmonton. His talent level may be on the realm of Mike Greene.

Only problem I have is with Weber and the refs. Twice he goes after Rust. Only one got a penalty.

I think Obie's hit was clean. He might have lead with a knee a lil and about a sec after the puck left but I think it was a fluke accident. Now if Dumo out with a knee then def a knee to knee by Ovie.

The refs let the game get out of control when they let oshie beat on Sid but hey Sid started throwing punches first so....


But ya good win. Hope it's not serious with Dumo bc I don't want to see lovejoy in and DP sitting again.


Also props to sunds on playing a solid 2 way game. He needs to score one to get monkey off his back. He goes hard to the boards on the forecheck everytime. Going to be a good 3C in time
