You must have an insane record/music collection
Probably second only to my porn collection in fact - boonerbuck
lol
I have been obsessed with music since around 6 years old when I snagged my first KISS record off the wall. I have toned it down quite a bit in recent years due to cost in regards to my music collection and my GF thinks I'm insane but she sure loves it when she finds a record she loves in the collection…lol
Sittin at around 1200 LP's and close to 2200 CD's and that is pretty small compared to some collectors I've seen.
Plus the $50,000 stereo helps make them sound pretty decent as well…

Yann Suave is the last D van has drafted in the first 2 rounds, that was 2008. - manvanfan
The strategy.

Ok, we agree that was 2 years. Schneider trade was 3. This is where people are confused and coming up with "3 years in".
I agree on McCann as well. With a healthy Sutter/granlund and Vey showing improvement still, McCann may have to start on the Comets unless they offload Vey. McCann already took Vey's job once in the pre season though and they showed they were willing to lose Vey on waivers already as well(not to mention being on "The List"). This will be one of the big Drama's in the pre-season surely. - boonerbuck
I like Vey , but I know I trust Bennings vision . If Vey is gone he's gone. I don't see it happening but I am not going to B1tch about it |

He has proven to be a decent forward that can fill in at all positions. I'd say 13th forward for next season. |

LW - Sven
RW - Virtanen, Boeser
C - Horvat, McCann
Hutton and Tryamkin are young but probably won't ever be a real top pairing D. This is why I see the need for a D. Kind of why I don't hope for a top 3 pick this year unless getting matthews which then I think McCann should be traded off with someone for Drouin. - manvanfan
Don't forget Larsen, he'll be on the defense next year. |

If Vey keeps improving, at the very least they should get something for him and recoup some asset value even at some loss. Maybe it goes the other way and Granlund is packaged or something.
How do they send down McCann if he comes ripping out of the pre season again like last year? This will be interesting for sure. I dont think the AHL will hold him back though. He needs strength and confidence.

It's hard to tell lately if management is going to let Vey go, he was on the list, yet his ice time reflects that they still are working on him. I've been curious to see what they'll do with him.
I agree with you, while Utica might be good for McCann, if he comes to training camp as confident as he was this year I dont see a justification in sending him down, he can just as easily lift weights/gain confidence with the canucks. I'd rather see Vey go personally and just leave the roster spot open for McCann/Granlund to fight over. |

Vey has played well of late, no doubt.
I temper my excitement however.
Lots of players seem to play better when there is nothing to play for.
I hope he sticks for next year personally.
I also hope that McCann goes to the Comets next year and rips it up, fills in with the nucks when recalled for injuries. |

That would be great.
It's been to long since we've had a legit threat from the backend.
esp on the PP, it can make all the difference in having different weapons and make teams respect the point shot more. |

I don't think Vey is an untouchable, they dangled him at tdl, but are willing to run with him too. I still think they may just be showcasing him, hoping to pad stats for a sign/trade.
I'd be happy to keep McCann in the AHL next year and bring him along the following year, staggering our youth (followed by Boeser then next year) |

This year Larsen was named defenceman of the week twice in the KHL and was selected to the All Star game. Finished 5th in D-man scoring. |

Yeah. Until they got Ekblad they didn't see any real improvement. Gudbranson never turned into what they thought. - manvanfan
Gudbranson turned into an important stay at home dman with a physical presence. That's an important part of a "team". As Vantel keeps preaching, and he's right!
The notion that you draft a high end guy, Tavares, and you're on your way is complete nonsense. It takes years of drafting to be truly competitive.
Guys like Gudbranson, Bjugstad, Petrovic, Huberdeau, Grimaldi & Trocheck are important parts of their current team and they were drafted five and six years ago. |

Yup started with Bo
Bo and JV two top ten picks , plus this years.
Markstrom Sven are as good as two top ten picks.
Hutton and Tryamkin look like more solid drafting
Demko and Boeser continuing the trend - VANTEL
yes it looks great.
Pedan should be mentioned in there as well. While I like his individual play he fills a much needed role on this team along with tree. kudos to JB for getting tree here this season with creative tactics.
hamhuis tryamkin
Edler tanev
pedan hutton
Sbisa Larson
Thats shaping up well on D. If you can move tanev or sbisa for upgraded D do it. |

New idea.
Let's sign Ilya Kovalchuk in a bid to increase Russian presence on team.
Bear with me here (see what i did there
He's oldish 32, but i had no idea that he's 6'3 and over 230 lbs!
Get him in to play with Try, Pedan and Sergachev next year.
Sign him to a 2 year bridge deal. Lots of incentives/targets.
he can replace Vrbata on the wing.
Flip him in 2 years to a contender.
huh? Anyone?.....any...one? |

the good with Vey is he seems to compete on a regular basis....The bad is that he is at his ceiling for potential. Therefore if he's a bubble guy at his ceiling then hes just not good enough to be here long term....space better used to develop another asset. |
