i do think you guys get in. i'm feeling fairly confident the pens should have a good shot to hold onto one. at the risk of counting chickens, its looking like detroits streak is gonna be over.

I just want to know how a disciple of Torts in Mike Sullivan runs such an elite Babcock-like puck position system. Can you imagine your team with Mike Johnston still at the helm?

PP was just disgraceful. Think about that. If they get some good chances on those PPs and if Schenn scores on that play...different ballgame.

Just need to go out and win 3 now. Winning out was unfeasible. Just a shame they had to pick this one to suck in.

For the PP, everytime a team cheats on G, Ghost, and Jake, it stifles the unit. Pretty much the book on them; some teams do it, some don't for some reason. But it's how to shut it down usually. It's where Schenn and Simmer need to be worked in more and pucks moving quicker. G loves to methodically run it, but when it gets aggressive PKing, he just can't.

Sucks because it was a team they are chasing more than anything else.

The Pens played a really good game. Flyers lacked the execution and intensity needed to match them,Mason seemed to be the only guy who came to play.

Mason definitely was, thought Gudas competed at the level required.

Not killing everybody else; we all saw the game. Just one of those days where way too many guys were below the bar -- it's one thing to get beat by skill and nice plays. The other guys get paid, too. Another thing to not skate and compete, and I just wish a few more guys had a little more focus today

Something that both Sullivan and Tortorella have reinforced multiple times through the year is that Sully is his own man. Torts even claimed that Sullivan is a better coach than he is, and I don't think he's wrong at all. Sullivan was such a diamond in the rough. It's not every day that a guy can coach under a complete poop head like Torts for so many years and pick up and enhance the few good traits that clown had and add them to his own arsenal.

If Johnston were still around we'd be out of the playoff picture and we would probably be strongly considering blowing up the core.

Pens PK really impressed me. After the Flyers got all 3 of their goals via the PP last time, they adjusted rather well
