Ask yourself this, why would they put Vey out on first PP unit, second line , and last minute of play ( empty net) , if their plan is to get rid of him. Why would they be grooming him in all the key situations instead of a player they intend to keep? That would be pretty dumb don't you think?

Bo as 3rd line center, where he should be, and Backes as 2nd line center has merit to it if they want to compete at all. Otherwise they'll finish last overall next year with Bo and Jared as their centers behind Henrik.

It's not pointless, St.Louis chokes in the playoffs. How many 2nd round appearances? how man Cup finals? Impressive they have made the playoffs so much back in the day, but always seem to sputter in the first and second round with the current roster (2010-now). I'll grant you that the west is very tough, but sometime you've got to make a conference final with that lineup... unless of course you are choke artists.
