Funny what can happen when you make a coaching change. When was the last time the Isles tried that?

I agree with Dan. Resign okposo and Nielsen bc this team will be aweful without them

I think okposo actually one of few top players that trying. Tavares is the player that Needs to put his game up one more level.

The biggest reasons why we starting to slide is Strome Tavares Nelson need to be better.

Putting strait in again was just pure stupidity.

Greiss might be my favorite goalie in long time. I think he could be our #1 for next season and beyond. If Halak was in net against Dallas it could have been 7-0.

It's funny this team sunk the day after I got email to isles season ticket holders about securing playoffs tickets.

They better wake the hell up tonight. My guess it's crapuano puts in berube visnosky and Bernier.

I'm not seeing a lot of trying from KO at all. When is he battling in front of the net like Lee and using his size? You resign KO and Frans and where are you changing the mix with this team.

I agree on Strait and I really like how Greiss has played this year. I'm interested if Berube can keep up the good play.

Greiss has .947 save percentage vs Dallas. With it being this tight right now, you need to keep riding your #1.

As for changing the Mix of this team. the grabovski and Kumelin experiment didn't work. Also, Bailey will be gone when Barzal is ready. Also Strait and Viznosky are gone. Cizikas and Clutterbuck have have more gamewinners than Tavares this season.

It sucks b/c ever game he plays his value decrease, but I was huge fan of using Strome and other assets to get Pacioretty.

I don't get this concern with helping Tavares. Hello, when did you ever hear last time Crosby, Ovechkin, and Stamkos complain about now having another superstar on their line. They need to be the ones getting it done. This year Tavares has not been that player.

Why do you keep Franz? He's a third line player thats OK defensively but doesnt have the size or physicality to be a third line player. Hes an anomoly just like bailey and now Strome. You can tack on that he doesn't get up for big games also which we should all know all to well now. We should be targeting big game players considering we're supposedly a "playoff team" and we're done rebuilding even though eveeyone is scared to death to give up a first rd pick in the twenties. Are we keeping him for the shootout which he now sucks at anyway? Theres literally no reason to keep the guy and if we're all scared of finding viable replacements its time to replace the GM.

This team will never take the next step if it's fans and more importantly its staff move on from this love affair with players that dont bring it when it counts.

Heres my one question to you and i guess to Dan as well. If the isles arent getting it done with the current roster, how do you rationalize bringing back two major pieces in Okposo and Nielson? The team just simply isnt good enough and you're suggesting bringing back those two pieces? There's just too much dead weight on this team, and its getting hard to watch.......matter of fact, i thought last years team was better.

Funny how other teams make coaching changes and sometimes do it when the team has a winning record. Isles have to wait for the wheels to completely fall off before thinking about making a change.

Neilsen often stops skating.. OFTEN. Try to watch him tonight with a critical eye. He, Bailey, and Okposo all have shifts where they just stop skating, make very lazy passes, and basically do stuff so friggin stupid a Kid with 3 years of hockey would be horrified. All 3 of those guys give the puck away at the other teams blue line ALL THE TIME... the best way to have a break away or an odd man rush is to give the puck away at the blue line... u have to get the puck deep. All 3 of those guys constantly give the puck away on a break out, constantly fail to get it out of the defensive zone making a dumb backward pass....etc. They are very frustrating to watch b/c all 3 of them show flashes of greatness often.. if they had a coach that held them accountable for the stupidity we would love all 3. Instead we have a guy who rewards their worst games, shifts, plays, etc.
