Garth adds Halak, Leddy, and Boychuk and you think he finally gets it and is ready to work and then it stops. He goes back to disappearing and hiding out and not making moves. Every few years he wakes up and then back to sleep. - ses111
That took a lot for Snow. I am just sick of seeing the same team I really am. Changes have to be done to this team next year or you will get the same result. We have not got out of the first round and we never will with the same team year in and year out |

I'm not hearing Cappy saying the right things and Cappy gets plenty of the blame for his spin the wheel lineup changes and not sitting Strait for good. - ses111
Im talking about Post Game interviews when he loves to say things like "he plays the game the right way". Its obvious that his style is puck possession and getting the puck deep and grinding. But when guys arent willing to skate his system is useless. You cant have a team of soft finesse (exluding the Cizikas line) and play a grinding style. It aint gonna work.... |

His typical line we played good I though thte team played a good game. We ran into a hot goalie our battle level is there |

Other teams have sure turned things around much faster. I get that Wang is a horrible owner, but since the new owners have bought in, we have seen money spent on Halak, Boychuk, and Leddy. I have a very hard time believing Garth could not afford to hire a better coach than Cappy and that Wang would put a stop to it. Sorry this is on the GM. - ses111
EDM , Columbus, and Avalanche haven't. A few wins and isles will be back on track.
It really sucks Pens Caught fire, they ruined the possibility of isles rags in first round.

Yeah they have their own issues, but im not comfortable with this isles team. Too many holes. Too many guys not willing to pay the price... |

The way both teams are playing right now it would probably be a god awful series. Like 2 peewee teams playing each other. |

Pretty much MDW. One positive is guys like Bailey and Frans will not go into a fetal position playing against the Rangers. |

Nah, its the abortion of team defense in front of him. Just forwards being lazy and not picking up their guys. Two defenseman going to the same corner on the PK. A lot of laziness and dumb mistakes.
Apparently Sather went into the lockeroom after the Sharks loss and called the team an embarrassment.

Hank is going to take out another net soon.
If Sather is not too busy, can he make a trip to the Isles lockeroom? |

I have to think changes are a coming when July 1st hits. The new owners don't appear as guys who are OK with not making the playoffs, or going out in the first round every year. Barring the team going on a run and not only making the playoffs but winning a round, I think we'll see the new owners putting their stamp on their new shiny toy almost immediately. |

This is what I'm hoping for. They have had to wait two years. I hope they come out firing literally. |

Its not the points, it when Nino has scored has been very decisive within the games, ummmmm he's scored more PO goals last year (I think) than any islanders...
So u move on with another statement.... - Ur Not Me
In the last 8 games the Islanders have 3 wins. Clutterbuck has 2 of the game winners in those 2 games. One against the Rangers. He is on the 4th line and doesn't get Power play time. He also had the game winner against Dallas in the 6-5 game they won.. and a few others. He is one of our best penalty killers and I would not trade the guy for Nino right now straight up. |
