It's the safest pick and the Canucks can't afford to make a mistake if they pick top 10....that being said they are all high end prospects

You could argue he's the best from this draft, in the end it may turn out to be true. A lot of people were really high on Provorov last year after his WJC. I think Chychrun got the "rare" and "elite" athletic tools you can't teach, Serg has that size and shot you can't teach. Both could be "real good" to use JB talk

I like Horvat, we will have to see if his defensive game develops you can't sayu he's great defensively with the yeaar he's having. He's a dead broke man's Toews right now. I think he will get better at d but he's more of a 2c in my mind. He a JM are 2c's in my mind, which is why I think McCann is dangled for a big fish.

Bo's D is fine. His forced roll n linemates etc have more impact on the poor play than he does. Kid is doing just fine no worries.

The Iron Curtain!
(if i say it enough, it may catch on).

Just like JB acquired Granlund to play with Rodin!
because Finland and Sweden are pretty much the same thing.

you're right, I thought he was 6 '4 and chychrun 6'2. Well go in there and for sure look to get a guy that makes us better. We think there's some real good d-men in there.

Again, I'm not sure how you come to this conclusion. I think he's played pretty well since january, but his first half of the season was a hot mess. I do think he will get better and already showing signs, but his D is not fine and needs to be worked on as every defensive metric clearly shows he was really bad for the first 40 games or so. Faceoffs and power moves I agree and like, I think they should stick him net-front a bit more too. Stop giving Burrows that job, he hasn't been doing squat all year. Put JV or BO in there IMO they will battle well there and get some dirty goals.

You have to remember that he played a lot with a Higgins that gave up and a Baerschi learning the defensive side of the game. He was also thrown into a role he wasn't 100% ready for. I am not worried about his +/- this year. His defensive game is very good for a 20 y/o and most of his partners/defense have been terrible. he also has A LOT of goals against where he just stepped onto the ice and the other team scored.

I don't really care about +/-, he just gave up a lot of quality chances against the big boys for the first 40 games. IMO it was trial by fire, it might have ruined some players but BO seems to have come out the side of it. I think he will get better but still needs to add speed and watch a lot of tape this off-season. I think he will be fine, I'm just calling this season a spade cause I think it's stupid to sugarcoat things and pretendd like he's doing well when he's had a tough year. He's done well since January, that's a sign of growth.

This is a better assessment over the metrics.
I come to that conclusion from viewing every game.
Stats only help paint a fuller picture.

Your mom is a lefty, she'd be playing her off wing on 4th RW.

From what I've seen, she could play either side effectively. Great backhand.

I think that secured the Stamkos deal. Tampa Bay just doesn't have game changers like Marincin, Hyman and Ben Smith

GF is going to be pissed, I ate half a pound of her sliced smoked havarti. I told her not to leave poop in my fridge, serves her right. Maybe I'll take a nap.
- A_SteamingLombardi

lol…I hear you my GF left ribs and mashed potatoes in the fridge that made it into my work lunch today…she is not impressed…at least had good wine with your cheese?
