I see it this way , if Canucks do make one or two big big UFA signings then they buy him out because they need the cap space.

They will buy out Higgins probably and have 17 in cap space which should be plenty. I see them bringing back Burrows but he may be a healthy scratch more often.

Big difference between chasing and playing D but I agree this team needs some offensive ability coming from the back end.

I still don't think any of the D look like can't miss prospects but like I have said before it is very hard to predict what they will become. Chychrun is the safest bet but I still don't see him as top 5 pick..

I really hope we end up with Dubois, Gauthier or Nylander before Sergachev or Juolevi assuming the big 3, Tkachuk and Chychrun are gone by the time we pick.

Gives Wpg a good young goalie to build around, a underpaid honey badger (who started his career for the Moose) and a cheaper utility Dman.
Also allows them to re-Trouba.

Van gets a potential 1Dman they've been looking for. Thorburn is a throw in.
