Not sure what games you have been watching but I would disagree with this. Who has been better? Miller made some great saves against NSH and we put up 4 goals, but I didn't think the D were any better than any other night? Nor have any been drastically better in the last 5 or 6 games? - Codes1087
This is bang-on. The only difference in the past few wins is timely saves something Miller hasn't been able to do in two months, until last game and Markstrom played pretty decent his last outing. They haven't changed any structuring on D whatsoever. Baertchi and Spizza gave the puck away twice in 1:30 to lead to that first NSH goal. Miller was able to make a phenomenal save in the third to basically preserve that win. |

Nice read Carol.
Great point on how face-off's continue to be a big problem for this team.
In all our projected lineups and with all the C's that JB has accumulated, this issue does not seem to be addressed...I noticed Richardson (our last decent f/o man) schooling us the other night...
My question for the day is:
Is it time to target a f/o specialist again? (like Richardson, Manny, etc.) <---- not that i'm suggesting either of these guys).
edit - according to http://www.sportingcharts...-faceoff-statistics/2015/
Bo is listed at #16 overall. Which seems counter-intuitive.
Of those listed higher that could possibly be available, i would list:
Plekanec, Thomas
Stall, Jordan
Koivu, Mikko
Of those, i would prefer Stall the most, obviously..as the others are 33+ - dbot
I don't like any of those contracts. I'd say let the youth continue to evolve. Also, Sutter is good on draws and should be back in a more prominent role next season. |

3-1 Jets. Shiefele gets 2 goals and JV gets one playing with the twins. #Chychrun |

The list was sorted by faceoff wins for whatever reason.
I agree with the opinion that Sutter will help solve this, we should be able to find a good 4th line center that can help this too (A la Malholtra/Stoll) for much cheaper. Beagle, Gordon, Cullen, Moore for examples |

I could care less what genre of music JV is into. I just went to see Heart and Joan Jett last week and was more than impressed. Singing along to Hearts love ballads of the 80's didn't make me feel less manly. Ordering a coors light at the pub afterwards sure did though.

At his age and with those looks and all that cash money, I'm betting it's a pretty decent place to pick up. Father's Beware.

Vancity Buzz had a story he was dating Chloe Grace-Mortez for a while, I really dont think anything the media says is going to bother him right now. Looks, money, dream job in hometown? Life likely couldnt be any better |

Yes. He should help in this regard.
If we pick up a 4th line C, surely we have to move either Vey, Granlund though.
I'm ok with returning JM to AHL next year, at least to start (barring injuries to main club) and allow him to earn a spot here. |

I'm wondering about those two, I've liked both recently. I wonder if Vey might be moved to wing. I think JM gets traded this offseason, it's just my opinion but we are deep up the middle and he has done well this year that including him in a package could get you something we really need (such as Hamonic). For example hutton/McCann for Hamonic would be pretty good IMO and Snow may bite given how well they've played this year. I tend to see guys go up and down but the ones that are consistently good to be rare Hamonic would be a huge push in the right direction. Begin the hate on trading both! |

Ain't that why we got Sutter.

I have a solution, although I know it won't be popular here. Don't listen to 1040, don't follow the bullpoop on twitter and shutdown your facebook.
Until I saw this post I had no idea there were fans dumping on JV, man I'm glad I don't follow that crap... - Makita
I don't even listen to 1040. The bashing over social media is horrendous. The only time I really listen to 1040 is when it is a edited segment with a guest speaker that I have respect for. I tend to filter out the 1040 cast and only pay attention to the guest speaker. It's just getting tiresome to see everyone get so upset over nothing, all the time. |

I don't care what they do on their own time as long as they play hard and compete every game. I care about their hockey skills not their choice in music or TV shows, sexual orientation. Whatever, as long as they are half decent human beings. |
