Looks like Dallas n the Hawks shoulda been more serious trading for Hamhuis.
Why u might ask? Well Dallas is not exactly a defensive juggernaut still n the Hawks r looking a lil outta kilter recently. LA n the Ducks look like the faves now n too bad they prolly have to go thru each other to meet the Central winners.

Ducks don't have the D or the goaltending to go deep. LA does however. But CHI is just coasting now. They always find their form in the PO's and I can see a 7 game series for the conference finals with CHI vs LA and CHI taking it in 6. DAL SJ and ANA will compete but really should all be out after the second round.

Last night was a complete train wreck on D. That Scheifele goal was just horrendous on the part of Biega and Hamhuis. Both fell over and it led to a 2 on 0. Markstrom was hung out to dry last night.

Here is how I see the next month and a half going. We lose 3 to every 1 win. We draft outside the top 3 (which to most people will be an ultimate let down). Whether we draft 4 or 10, I trust Benning to make the right choice and I have full trust in his ability to analyze talent. I highly highly doubt we get into the top 3 so we might as well take the remaining games of the season and work on executing plays properly and maybe build some chemistry with some different lines. People need to remember Benning got Virtanen when NYI grabbed Dal Colle. People need to remember that apart from the big names in the top 5 last year, we got a GEM in Boeser. I am still going to write "Embrace the Tank" after every loss because it really stirs the pot amongst the posters in here lol.

lol I like to poke the bear either way but really I'm not concerned who #tanknation offends. Cheering for this club to make the PO's and get pounded in the first rd to pick 16th is more asinine to me than many things. When we are enjoying our top 5 pick in a few years all these pro 'anything can happen in the playoffs' guys will be eating their hats.

As a player I have never played any game to lose. Losing sucks even if the the game seems meaningless to some its not to the players. Would I love a top 3 pick? Yes but I like winning.

To me, there is no justification in cheering to lose. No pick is guaranteed. No player career is guaranteed. All you know at the end of the day is that you lost. Guaranteed.
