We needed a C so prolly the better pick.
We followed it up with a power winger anyways.

Yes you are correct we did need a C. Perhaps gillis drafted by position?

Nichushkins skill set was just so tempting. I'd have picked him based on that. I do wonder what Bo's potential ceiling potential is though.

IMO a C is always picked over a winger if equal probability of success.
C can convert easy enough n all teams search for gems at C.
Thats nothing new ala the Wings model

Edit:
A C with a 200' game is very important other than a winger that is a true NHL sniper.

You are wrong. Demko will play one year in AHL at the most . We will have no one on the farm other than Bachman
- VANTEL

I meant maximum of 2 though.
There is Canatta too

Theres college route, KHL, trade, UFA etc. Doesnt have to be drafted per se. BUt if the right goalie is in the draft then of course.

There is a UFA goalie at Yale that many teams will try to sign for free.
As for a trade idk about that. Rather draft one if not a UFA.

Ya Im with you on that. Im more of not a direct trade for a goalie but as part of package....can be your prospect part.

Markstrom was a prospect part of a deal and thats worked out awesome.

Of course there are other routes to find a goalie.

The most successful way though is through the draft.

If you look at the second round choices there is nothing really of high quality unless you consider Tyler Benson a good player.

I think it is the perfect time to pick for need and not pick BPA . There are some undersized players but we have a few of them already. I would target the best goalie available

All in all our future lies in our kids n draft picks.
Now if JB keeps on proving his drafting talent we r fine.
So far so good n if he keeps dealing to help out weaknesses
or upgrading then even better yet.

Pens 5-3 over NYR without Malkin. Huge win for them.
East sure is a strange conference n weaker than the west obviously.

Second round is too high for a goalie. That would be twice in 3 years we select a goalie with our second pick. I'd be ok with a goalie in the 4th or 5th round but I feel we should use our 2nd on a D

Agree but prolly BPA is most likely.
Idk if I want any small forwards though but a good smaller D is ok.
Must be gifted on offense .
Hart will be around maybe but i figure a team like the Leafs or Oil take him.

Edit: Flames could pick Hart also

Do we credit Justin Bieber or blame the Roxy Flu for last night's win over Nashville?

These are the burning questions that I tackle in today's new blog:
