I don't think anyone here is approving a tank, we are just cheering for losses. There is a huge difference. Leafs are clearly tanking, we are not even close to doing that. - Scooby_Doo
I'll give you that, but the Leafs' perpetual sh it storm was more severe that what's going on in Vancouver in recent years and required drastic change and extreme measures to clean up recent GM's and coaches' messes.
Seriously, why would a new management group take their time cleaning up old bullsh it when they have their own plan and vision?
What people (non-Leafs fans) continually fail to acknowledge is that the ENTIRE management structure (and culture) surrounding the Leafs has changed from ownership; To the CEO; To the President; To GM; To front office; To coaching staff; To scouting; To the players and right down to the Marlies.... It's ALL changed and been overhauled. There isn't a single organization in the league that has undergone a complete overhaul that the Leafs have in such a short period of time.
With all of the personnel changes, to think that this organization would remain on the same fruitless course that has seen 49 years of failure is (frank)ing ridiculous and insanity. |

The leafs have lost a lot of fans the last 10 years, a lot more than you'd ever admit. It's been pretty ugly there, the losing has definitely taken its toll. - Scooby_Doo
I fully admit that the fan base has taken a hit, but it will return and grow when the team starts finding regular success again.
I have to believe that Vancouver's fan base has also taken a hit with their last few years and the widespread disapproval of how Benning is running things. |

We have the worst fans in the league, so obviously the losing has affected our fan base. |

Right, because most weren't either confused and/or upset by the Shink deal or pissed about JB not making a single move on TDL day, or scratching their head wondering what the next move is i.e. Hamhuis this summer?

I thought the shink deal was the right thing to do. Been expecting it for a year.
I also was not upset on TDL either.
Im more of the let JB do what hes gonna do because he has more inside knowledge and a ton of experience. I dont obsess over that crap.
Ya some posters had their tantrums on TDL and now are over it. Signing Tram made them pacified.
wait till july and see if stamkos signs in TO, cause there's gonna b a poopstorm from fans if he doesnt like the entire fan base is expecting. Theyre always convinced everybody good is gonna sign in TO....yet never learn when no one does....year after year. I wouldnt go talking about tantrums over JB if I were you. Its worse in your neck of the woods. |

Pick 4 and we get Chychrun
Trade something for Hamonic nit named Edler Tanev horvat sven or demko. Add Virtanen to that.
Maybe McCann Markstrom and a 2nd? Boeser instead or markstrom?
If our de can be
Tanev Edler Hamonic Hutton Chychrun tryamkin and sbisa I'd be thrilled - The_Kuze
I hope this is a joke... I'm actually so Confused because if it's not it's one of the worst if not the worst trade offers I've ever seen on this site.. And that's saying alot... I wouldn't trade 1 of them for hamonic, he's not going to change this team where it's at.. Boeser? Markstrom? This is literally the most insane thing I've read on here lol.. Sorry but wow |

We'll see in a few years about how many Toronto fans will like the losing....its easy to say you like the direction the current management team is taking but what happens if the youngsters don't turn out and plateau or not? Careful what you wish for. - allsports

I liked the line combos last night for most . I thought Vey MCCann and Etem looked dangerous all night. I thought Bo Burr and Dorsett played well too. I don't think JVs style fits the Twins and he should be on the Granlund line.
I think for those calling to trade Vey and Etem are making a mistake. We are getting an insight to what they can do.
The boys played a very hard game against a good team. They looked strong.
When you think of all the blown points and third period melt downs this year , I dont think the rebuild will be long. |

I didn't mind Vey Etem McCann at all. Not sure on Bo Burr and Dorsett…I know WD is experimenting with lines now just not sure Bo's game meshes with Burr and Dorsett even tho it produced last night.
I see the crash and bang game of JV not really fitting with the twins either. That might come later but last night he looked confused on where to go on the ice quite a bit.
People were calling for Baertchi to be on waivers last year too so trading Vey and Etem now would not be smart. Vey has shown he can grow in WD's system and Etem (like anything) with the right line mates his game will come around.
I am pro #tanknation but wow it was good to see the kids step up in that game vs a very good Preds team. It was a fun game to watch with a good glimpse into the future.
Only Hutton has less rookie dman assists than was' his name in Philly…that kid is a glorious find well done Hutton. |

I'm in favour of the team that collects the most points after being mathematically eliminated to get 1ov, 2nd most gets 2nd etc... - Pres.cup
I never thought of that before. I actually really like it. |

So both Sedins punched opposing players in the head. Daniel was the screen and net presence guy on the PP . Henrik or Daniel, went to Millers rescue last night after a an opponent tried to dig the puck free and JV got into a fight.
Who needs Lucic our first line are goons.

I too still hope we loose every game but that the young guys play well. If we win I just hope its like last night where you have multiple young guys getting points so that they're gaining confidence for next season.
Hopefully JB can go out over the next few weeks and land a couple college free agents especially on defense. Id say the kid from Richmond is all but a lock to come here especially due to him attending training camp last year. |

I'm liking this group. Put Sutter with the Twins next year . Sven and JV on a line. Burr Hansen and Dorsett can alternate and there is your forward group. |

I think we are drafting Sergachev around 7-10 . We may get lucky and win the lotto , but I am thinking we won't. |

What we do know is JB has his eye on a UFA, which will have a NTC attached to it. It will probably be one of Lucic or Eriksson. |
