Exactly, it's not like we're over flowing with D prospects. Last time I checked karlsson and pk weren't great in their zone either. Do people Care? Nope because they can take over a game. Let him develop for a few years if that's what it takes he's 21!!! And if and when he's ready stick him with a tanev or whoever we have.. This franchise is in desperate need of subbans skill set

Without a doubt.. It's been our biggest need for yearsss.. I don't know if we've ever had a true pp qb.. Subban has those skills.. He has work to do but the skills he has aren't easy to find..

who knows man, 2 out of Charas first 3 seasons he was a -27...but he sure turned that around

He has to overcome his size n improve his D. Too early to say but he is prolly an offensive specialist at best. Surround our D corp with enough tandems of shutdown n offense types is my idea.

Yeah he needs to put on some weight for sure but that's perfectly normal for a 21yr old and he can add 10-15 in muscle over a summer or so....

and you're right, if we pair him with a shutdown guy it creates a balance/compliment

I think he's too bright of an offensive talent to let go and we gotta give him some more time and patience and see what happens in the next 2 years.

I see the same thing happening with McCann - he gotta build himself up more in order to compete in corners and win those battles - come off the boards with puck and then he'll pretty dangerous cus he has some serious passing skills.

Remember when Lack spent the summer in the woods somewhere in Switzerland and he came back to Van 20 lbs heavier and ripped?? ideally Subban and McCann should take a page outta that book.

Players outta Jr need a strength n skating programs as the norm.
JM is on one at present n will be on one all summer ala Bo.
Stronger on the puck is the aim n his skills r already there.
His shot is what we want to be his MO.

He is young n has great potential or a trade chip if needed.
