Feel bad for him. Not going to help him in his next contract. Awful contract year. - Codes1087
I got the impression he didn't want to be here.
Kudos for willing to drop the gloves so often, but thought he was supposed to be a better player along the boards and battling for the puck. We saw some good play from him early and then it disappeared, maybe the injury had a lot to do with it. |

He is playing against the other teams top lines and his defensive zone starts are the highest of any center on the team, by a lot.
I hate this +/- bullpoop. It is the dumbest stat in hockey. - Codes1087
I cant stand the advanced stats guys that go out of their way to discredit other stats, as if it makes any difference. Stats are stats, how you use them is up to you. You can make cases for any stats because numbers dont lie, they are what they are. +/- is a simple stat to show whether there is area of concern, Bo's +/- is alarming and if you dig a little deeper with other stats you'll find where the issue is: his role was more than he could handle at first, he had underperforming linemates, and wasn't scoring as much as he should have given the chances and shooting % he was at.

If he didn't want to be in Vancouver, imagine how much less he wants to be in Utica. Not a good influence and perhaps best not to have him around the prospects. |

Yep.
Contract year though, can't understand the attitude, cleared waivers, not in demand... might be time to retire... |

95th from the bottom of the league. 3rd from the bottom on the Canucks, ahead of Higgins and our good friend Luca Sbisa. - Ronning4ever
+/- is as useless as tits on a bull. Hockey is a team sport. There is a 5 man unit on ice. And if you are getting a defensive zone start, then most likely you are up against other teams top line. Since most teams like to have their top guys get more offensive zone starts. If anything, you should be complaining about it would be his F/O %. If Bo wins more f/o then they get possession and clear the zone. Realistically if you put a career offensive guy without any defensive skills with another sophomore that is all offense as well and label them as your shutdown line then it is the same as putting lipstick on a pig.
WD is more at fault here then anyone else. If he wants Bo to be more defensively responsible then give him a more defensive winger. Bo with Burr and Varby/Bear is a lot different then Bo with Bear and Varby.
My point is to stop blindly taking stats as the holy grail and factor in some common sense.
I am not saying Bo is in the same category as Bergeron or Toews but both of those guys have atleast 1 more defensively minded player on their line at all times. |

Granlund quietly putting together another solid game, he looks good. - neem55
Benning is a duche. How dare he traded a top prospect in Shink for a plug like Grunland? |

I've questioned his moves like all of us but they do have a plan. Bigger 2 way players all over with a few sniper wingers. Prospects look great Benning can draft forsure |
