except when the RHD youre acquiring is an upgrade - SMBDragon
Sure but moving two of our top 6 players better get a pretty significant upgrade, something I don't think Myers is. |

Shame that I'm not sure will be able to bring him back, but I hope they do. - belcherbd
Why would it be a shame to lose Cannata? He can be easily replaced with a younger college UFA or free agent signing. Bachman hasn't played particularly well but neither of them have an NHL future |

I didnt mean myers, I meant in general. Notice I never mentioned myers?
Not so sure they'd target him either.
Hamonic would be the trade Id do at this point. |

I'm not sure Cannata is so easily replaced and I agree Bachman isn't an NHLer but they signed him to insulate.
Cannata has been good this year especially of late and if Demko is signed, I imagine that Cannata will not be which is too bad because I would of preferred to got with Cannata/Demko in that position. |

Hamonic would be interesting but there is no chance he is moving to Van, NY is a shorter trip home than here, don't forget the isle don't want to move him, he is only available because they are trying to allow him to play close to home. |

its not that much difference distance wise actually....and its intracountry travel, no borders and tight US security.
But Im saying he's the player Id rather have. There may be others |

So u pick Fabbro at 20th? Bet he's gone before then.
But if thats possible then a trade for top 7/8 garners more.
Can u elude more to what that is or is 20th outta thin air?
Btw what does Sopel have to with anything other than nothing?

Bonino's had a bad season, but he's injured. He did Ok here...probably a medium, 3rd line centre...wouldn't say he's fringe...Clendenning was once a top-end D prospect...again not sure if he'll make the show, but I'd take him over Biega right now.
Sutter...again we don't really know what we have yet. Looks good, but 20 games is not a good insight into how a player is gunna do. - Ronning4ever

That's okay, I expected you to get it wrong again
I have no problem admitting I'm wrong some times although I wouldn't say I always end up going back on my opinions.
I never said Sutter was no good, I said he isn't a 2C and that signing him to an extension without seeing him play was unnecessary.
Tanev is wonderful compared to what we have, by the way did you notice how we outhit LA last night and still lost 5-1 ?
I did say 12-17 barring a significant injury or two..... - belcherbd
I don't remember the built in clause you just added but that is fine I predicted a 7 th place finish without an injury clause.
I also remember debating about JV playing in the NHL because he was the only one hitting and you wanted him on his Jr. team
Much like are discussions these days with Vey, he has 5 points in 6 games . Your comments last night is because he is spoon fed. Truthfully if a team struggles to score I don't care if they are spoonfed or not. I am not that fussy. |

I wouldn't under any circumstances trade the twins ever. I still think all the stats say they are really good...check out Daniel's goal average when they are down by a goal...guy is still pretty damn good. One thing I don't think most folks understand is how unbelievably difficult contract negotiations can go and how lucky the Canucks are in many ways. I don't think we've ever signed an "anchor" contract $$$-wise in the past few years (Luongo's years being the MAJOR exception).
The twins NEVER cashed-in in Vancouver considering what they could have gotten on the open market. All the hardware they have? Still only getting $7mil.
Can't stand the Burrows signing? Remember he was getting $2 mil when he was scoring 35 goals. These things might suck today, but they have an impact on players signing here today as well... - Ronning4ever

Myers has a better shot , is tougher and harder today against.
Hansen really is a third line player not a first. Same as Higgins wasn't a first or second line player.
Higgins was another player we use to debate about . I said he should be waived , you said he is a good third liner. How is that working out |

He was put on waivers by Pitt and picked up by Edm - VANTEL
Traded by Pitt to Anaheim, who put him on waivers, almost immediately: 5 teams in one year. 23. Makes me think he might have had some Kassian 'issues'. Could still turn into a solid Dman... |

wasnt sure clendenning picked it up lately (dont even know what team he plays for these days.... pitt?) and I can never stay up late enough to watch eastern games - Crazybagoham

absolutely. I am just saying, at the time, I think more people were upset about the cap friendly deal Bonino was on compared to the extension Sutter signed before he played a game with us. - Codes1087
And people are saying that Sutter is a sure-fire #2C with us after 20 games...I'd give it a year to be sure... |

I bet Benning goes after Myers for Tanev and Hansen - VANTEL
There is no way under gods green earth they trade either. Both are considered to be steals in terms of cap hit. Hansen can play on any line, is very cap friendly and has an NTC - they didn't even consider trading him and his value has never been higher; Tanev is a home grown solid stay at home Dman signed to a good cap hit for term.
Benning might try to overpay for a up and coming Dman or try to find value in a reclamation project...maybe he'll try to get a lockerroom veteran with poor numbers and play younger guys...those two likely stay. |

Comments above. As far as actual analysts are concerned, no idea other than a CanucksArmy I linked to before...and they did not look on Sutter too kindly. |

I think JB might have said he was going to play 2c, but I haven't seen many say he was sure fire or a lock at 2c. Always thought Bo was being groomed for 2c and Sutter was more of a 3c who could slide up if need be, maybe fill the role until Horvat was ready.
Canucksarmy is an interesting site... I like to read it, but I never get the impression the writers really like the Canucks or the players on the team... very passive aggressive.. |

How's their +/-? - A_SteamingLombardi
Bottom of the league. Bottom 97% in corsi and fenwick. One of the bottom ten players in the league in terms of giving up goals when leading by 1. Have been on the ice for SEVENTY goals against on a team thats given up 190.
Actually, wait... |
